So, your thoughts here
Standard Noel quite clearly, but I love the verse and the chorus totally works for me As I said in the other thread I wish the solo was higher in the mix, love the melancholic vibe

I agree, "standard Noel", but isn't it what the fans wanted after the years of experimenting with different sounds and vibes?
Nice tune overall, nothing groundbreaking. 7/10 from me. I really like the Noel-esque melancholy that's somewhat uplifting.

There are parts of it the sound great, but that's mixed with bits that sound meh. Perhaps someone can remix it into a top song? On first listen I'd say 6/10

This is the best song he's released in ages, imo. Love it!

That's an 8/10 for me. I could have given it a 10/10 because I love this song so much but it's nothing new from Noel. He did a condensed version of everything we (or at least I) like about him: the chorus, the guitar solo, the high voices, the lyrics about being there for someone... And I really think it will be even better live.

It's good ... but, musically, I would prefer the album to go more in the direction of Pretty Boy

He's done that song 2 times already in the past 3 years (wandering Star / We're on Our Way). The exact same. It's the better melody of the batch though.
Again, its too compressed, instruments can't breath, the mix is weird. A typical Noel Gallagher produced ballad of the 2020s. Facebook fans are going wild so I guess mission accomplished.
I hope the better songs are yet to come...
6/10 i'd say.

Well i'd say this one is less obvious for a NG melody, that's why i'm thinking it's better, because it's a bit atypical, especially the chorus. We're on Our Way wasn't, it checked all of NG songwriting techniques.

First listen - instantly forgettable, meandering and plodding. His least interesting single from a solo album so far. Give me 10 'Pretty Boy's over this nonsense any time. Now it is first listen so that may change, but it'd have to be a massive change to get on board with this.

Itโs a very limp recording though, very MOR, very easy listening.

We're On Our Way Now had a fantastic verse but the chorus was a bit by the numbers, albeit good This has a better/more interesting chorus imo, and verse is as good
Flying On The Ground still the best of the bunch, I wish he'd kept that one for a real record

Only on Flying On The Ground I can feel that he was inspired.
Easy Now, We're On Our Way Now, Wandering Star, Trying To Find A World...are not bad but it is just Noel on acoustic guitar on autopilot.
With We're On Our Way Now being the best of those songs imo.

I like it, and it'll probably grow on me. I even like the music video. Nothing groundbreaking but I missed this sort of melody that sounds melancholic and uplifting at the same time.

Yeah that's what really gets me It's a very easy listen, nothing otherwordly, but when he does this well enough (and I think that's the case) he seems to be able to capture a certain feel in a way no one else can
