Been a bit bizarre innit? Just announcing and playing UK dates even after the new album will be out. Most euro festivals are already complete with their line ups in June-September so pretty unlikely he will appear anywhere. Would've been a good way to promote the record a bit to a bigger audience and being back on the road. Hopefully at least a couple of shows before/after his regular UK tour in fall/winter.

I didn’t even know Garbage was still a thing. Wish it was just with Metric. They are sneaky good. Guess it’s still hard and pricey to tour USA post COVID.

What sucks is this means a really short Noel setlist. Prob 12-15 songs.

What sucks is this means a really short Noel setlist. Prob 12-15 songs. Yeah, probably the same sort of affair as the Pumpkins tour, which, while I’d prefer a Noel headlining set, was better than nothing. Hopefully he shakes up the Oasis hits section. Edit - the asterisk in Ohio means “without Metric” apparently. And it looks like they’re doing the flip flop thing on who goes on last, Garbage takes the first/west coast half, Noel gets the second/east coast half.

Welp, I'm excited Noel is coming back to Southern California this summer! Bummer that he's not headlining the show proper, but that won't deter me from going. Onwards!

Even pre-COVID it probably wasn't cost-effective tbh. Was really surprised at the scale of Noel's US tour at the start of 2018 for Moon. 2019 was Smashing Pumpkins support wasn't it. And even if you look at LG, the last time he did a string of US shows was with Ashcroft. Think this is probably the best bet now for long tours for older UK artists. Looks like Ride and Charlatans have had a good thing going on (Tim's Listening Parties have definitely helped there too!).

Was surprised he even came back to do the co-headline with SP a year later after the last show.
Garbage put out another new album the other year. So did Metric.
Hope he comes on second again considering we're all going to be melting anyway.

Gotta be honest. I thought Garbage would be a whiff of a co-headliner tour but so many people are posting they are into them on social media. To each their own I guess. I’m just not that into them.

Is that confirmed?[/quote] My reason for thinking this: the west coast shows are listed on LiveNation as Garbage/NGHFB/Metric, the east coast shows are billed as NGHFB/Garbage/Metric. It changes halfway through the tour, and it's all of the shows in either half. If that's not what they're trying to convey there, I'd be very surprised.

That definitely was supposed to be Toronto, Ontario (not Ohio) as Budweiser Stage is an outdoor amphitheatre venue on Lake Ontario in Toronto.
Metric is a Toronto-based band so them being excluded solely from the Toronto show is probably for contractual reasons (they are probably playing their own show in Toronto or nearby at some point this summer)
Will probably wait and see what the first few setlists from the tour are before deciding since it's going to be a shorter co-headline set

Not a fan of the outdoor amphitheater shows. Especially with a co-headliner band that I thought disappeared in 1998. Either way, their band is appropriately named...

It's a weird pairing but Garbage will drive the ticket sales for sure. Only actual Oasis fans know who Noel is.
