How about anything by Abba? S.O.S. Now there's a song which Noel could do a good cover of. Either that or something like The Name Of The Game.

How about anything by Abba? Does your mother know Maybe . It's not one of my favourite Abba tunes but Noel might actually be able to do a good job of it.

I think something out the ordinary would be great, like when Liam did Natural Mystic. So much better than any tired yet-another-Beatles cover.

Great suggestion. I wouldn't mind hearing Nineteen Hundred Eighty Five either.

If we get all you need is love I will cringe...sick to death of that at his live gigs. Mind you I would live him to have a crack at Live and Let Die..think the band would nail that.

This may sound silly, but I'd love to hear him sing I'm Outta Time.

One different from those already mentioned ... This Guy's In Love With You. I'd love this, his 90s cover was amazing but hearing him do another version now that his vocals are better than ever would be incredible

Amy Winehouse's Back To Black. Both the instrumental and music video remind me of Importance Of Being Idle. I think he'd put down a great vocal (adapted lyrics to the male perspective) and will sound like another James Bond theme.

How to Fight Loneliness by Wilco. I think his voice would work really well and the vibe is different but consistent with the HFB.
Most Oasis/NG cover choices are too obvious for me! The big hits by 60s artists (such as My Generation, All You Need is Love, etc). This is fine in a live setting, but in the studio, I would prefer more personal and unique choices. Maybe NG just likes the big hits. Instead of a covers album, which are often boring, he should slip in a cool and obscure cover on the next album. . . .

I'll keep an open mind for this, would be interested to see what it would be like even if it may not be exactly to my taste.
I'm a huge fan of his versions of To Be Someone, Help, The Butterfly Collector and Hey Hey My My. If he recorded studio versions of those, that would be amazing but appreciate he's already been there and done that.

Not sure if youβre aware, but he recorded a studio version of To Be Someone for a Jam tribute album. X
