I'll join you with the jinxing and ask whether our quarterfinal will be more like 1958 or 2006? Or why not another 4-4 like in Berlin 2012! All we know is that Germany and Sweden will win today, the question is only how. (And if, for some insane reason, it will be England-Ukraine, I'm sure no one will quote this post) The only thing I know about our game in 1958 is that our players haven’t experienced fans singing and shouting at matches before and legend says they were scared lol. Let’s just hope that the games today won’t end up in a diplomatic crisis again There are so many intresting stories about that game, but yeah, one player described it as "an organized uprising against the world champions". And before Sweden took the lead in the game, there was a player in Germany sent off that probably shouldn't have been, the rest of his life turned into absolute hell. The player that got him sent off scored a classic goal in the last minute to make it 3-1, and later got threats by mail about not passing through Germany on his way from Italy to Sweden, because he'd never make it to his destination. The DFB chairman promised he would never let his team play in Sweden again, and if that's not enough, a children's orchestra visiting Kiel that summer was booed off the stage. Some petrol stations raised their price for Swedes, and prostitutes in Hamburg put up signs saying "Swedes not wanted". Let's see what might happen as a result of the game on Saturday! (I should say I listened to a podcast about this recently, I'm not a living football lexicon! ) Anyway, here's some frightening chants... as well as a classic goal with some veeery dodgy defending

I’m paraphrasing “an average country with an average population that never went above being mediocre in everything they do. You have to take away their liquor to prevent them from becoming a country full of alcoholics” The balls on our journalists to talk shit like that 13 years after the war lmao.

Congrats England.
Im just glad that löw is gone now. The last three years have been a waste of everybody’s time. No development, no philosophy and no harmony on the pitch despite having an incredible talented team.

Raheem Sterling.
Harry Kane.
Jack Grealish.
Man City players really are carrying England this tournament.

Brexit should have meant no Euros as well. It isn't just a bitter German questioning this

Bye bye Germany. It's coming home!
Grealish needs to play next game, made the difference when he came on.

Today is gonna be the day that WE ARE GONNA THROW ENGLAND OUT OF THE EUROS. No seriously I hope it’s going to be epic I'll join you with the jinxing and ask whether our quarterfinal will be more like 1958 or 2006? Or why not another 4-4 like in Berlin 2012! If you don't beat Ukraine you shouldn't be in a quarter final. Period.
The best I can say is that at least we went out to a team that you can't really hate. Ukrainians have had a tough few years, and they deserve some happiness... well, that's all I have.
All right, now all that matters is that neither England or Denmark win this. Czechia in my heart!

A great win for us. Not because of any ridiculous nationalistic bullshit that is no doubt currently exploding on Twitter but because they are a great footballing nation who frankly I’m sick of losing to 😂
Even in Germany’s quieter times they are always hard to beat, they are one of the markers by which you judge where your country is at. They’ll be back soon no doubt, I just hope we take our chance while we can.

Group F, group of death... well they all died out rather quickly. He's married to a Swede and can't even nail the pronunciation of the fucking country(Sver-yah instead of Sver-yeah). As if the game itself wasn't enough. Fuck off Will!

sad to see it end like that, he did wonders for Germany from 06-14 Yeah. He just missed the right point to leave but he brought us a World Cup and the immortal 7-1 against Brazil. He has his place in our history Genuine question, why was he not let go after 2018? But speaking only of this tournament, it felt so deeply wrong the way he took back those two players he basically threw out before, and still stayed on as coach. It was right to take them back (well at least Müller), but that was him admitting the intial decision was moronic, and then I can't see how the players have enough respect left for him at that point. It's a situation the DFB really should have avoided.
