My heart does sink a little when he rehashes the same stories again on stuff like this. We don't get many programmes like this so when we do I don't wanna hear about him driving off in the Limo or him picking the name High Flying Birds again.

As NG himself said back in the day, you don’t get rich selling to indie kids (or forum die-hards), you get rich selling to shoppers buying the album in Sainsbury’s!

Why does the bass player constantly look like he's shooting his load?

Why does the bass player constantly look like he's shooting his load? You can’t play an instrument without showing your sex face

The band's schedule was ridiculous, anyways. They didn't take off enough time between BHN and SOTSOG and then the longest break they had during Mk.II was something like 8 months to a year (without recording, touring, or doing promo). They needed a year off somewhere in there and some more time off between albums and it likely would've saved the band. It had ran its course towards the end, I was at Heaton Park towards the end and it wasn’t the best, they couldn’t be arsed being on stage together and the crowd wasn’t really up for it either, not like a few years earlier. Got a feeling the interview will be better than the gig tonight considering he’s playing in an empty theatre, should be good , on for 90 mins. It's really too bad because they were in such good graces back in 2005 when the bulk of the DBTT stuff was going on. I think the decline of Liam's voice and going from the road and to recording, back to the road and to recording, and then again & again throughout the 2000s killed it for them. And who could blame them? HC saw their return, DBTT cemented that, and they wanted to capitalize on it, which I think they did with DOYS. But they would've been better off taking a full year off after DBTT in retrospect to get rested up and make a full blitz. I think that would've made for a longer-lasting band. As it is now, though, the band is sorta mythical. They rose to fame, had stardom, fell down in a gargantuan way, came back as an underdog-like band, and ended in a way that a band that found a new place as one of the last great figures of a bygone era could've ever done.

I mean, I'm kinda underwhelmed with the set so far. Not due to the lack of Oasis, but from the Mainly Oasis tweet, I was expecting some deep cuts.
