Spot on. They're more appreciated now than they were in 2009. It's the way it works. What's different now is there's no massive British guitar band that has acted as a generational band for people my age, and they've gone back to Oasis. I'm not bemoaning it, but it's definitely helped that appreciation of Oasis too. And a reunion would only tarnish that image. Noel is smart, he knows the reissues, and films, and docs will be the best way to keep the flame alive and their relevance high. 100%, people crave for what they can't have, especially if there's nothing similar filling the void - which there isn't right now and might never be. It's a time and place thing isn't it, too. I guess in the 80s, it wasn't 'cool' to like the Beatles. Skip forward to the 90s and it was again. Not comparing them in a legacy sense - albeit no band since the Beatles or other than the Beatles has had as much impact on British working class culture as Oasis, I'd say - but bands go in and out of vogue like fashion does. In 2009, Oasis were almost a parody of themselves. Yeah they'd sell out gigs, get to number 1, but the 'clamour' as such wasn't there. Contrast that to when Liam came back solo, for example, on the back of Supersonic and when he sounded and looked brilliant again. It's also oen of the reason to me why Beady Eye never worked. It was too early, too soon and the tunes weren't there - no matter how much we hardcore fans might like some moments.

What I take from these recent interviews is that the "mixed" reactions to Who Built the Moon have got to him. He won't stop talking about social media hate, splitting the fan base, and now he says the next album will be more acoustic, and he got the 80's stuff out of his system. Just throwing it out there

Just throwing it out there I don't think we were ever bound to get Blue Moon Rising ×100, I believe the point of doing WBTM and the EPs was to mix it up and broaden the horizons, and, even if it happened the hard way with disagreements and all that, to make the fanbase digest the idea that he can do it the way he wants it, and that may mean putting out disco-oriented tracks The criticism got to him, if you put that much effort into a project you believe into of course it's gonna get to you (especially if some of it doesn't seem based on artistic or musical evidence), but I think it also made him more aware that at the end of the day it's worth it, and he enjoys it He keeps referring to this as his Style Council phase, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a more soul-infused record, or more "atmospheric" as he said I reckon we'll see different things from him through the years and some will be closer to Oasis than others, but I don't believe there's a way back to the point we hear another NGHFB #1

I genuinely hope he doesn’t play too many oasis songs. Don’t Look Back in Anger has to be played but after that I’d love if 10 or even 11 were HFBs stuff.

I reckon:
Little By Little Wonderwall Don't Look Back in Anger Everybody's on the Run Aka What a life In The Heat of The Moment Black Star Dancing We're On Our Way Now Flying On The Ground Holy Mountain Ballad of The Mighty I It's a Beautiful World
Not necessarily in that order

On top of that, Liam and Noel trading jabs at each other and teasing a possible reunion makes for great press and attention on the band every so often, so why let that go? With that said, a dream scenario would be seeing Liam and Noel reunite when they're at the end of their respective careers and do one last massive, fuck off gig to bring down the house (a la The Kinks but without doing an album). I don't know why but I keep thinking it's going to happen someday and if it's done at the right time, it could really be something.
