I mean… yeah, I’d buy it! I do think there should have been a physical release of the two songs as a single but at the same time that would probably hurt sales of the album as the new songs are the main selling point for the fanbase. Yeah I think that's what they thought Only way he'd get songs charting these days is with a physical release, but then I guess if you take away new material less people would've bought the record, which is already a compilation so not something selling as well as a standard album I can see them doing it at some point though, a vinyl for the fans She Taught Me How to Fly should have been on the album and the 7inch in the boxset should have been the two new tracks.

It’s absolutely fucking ridiculous “She Taught Me How To Fly” was relegated to 7inch (one sided) for this release. It’s top top tier solo NG.

I’ve loved it since we heard it on Jool’s Holland. I dunno why he limited himself to 18 songs. STMHTF and You Know We Can’t Go Back could have should have rounded it up to 20. The Right Stuff should also have been included in some capacity.

Noel really talked up that track while promoting Chasing Yesterday. Figured a cool remix might pop up on the Bonus CD.

Songs that should have been on there: (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach A Simple Game of Genius Let the Lord Shine a Light on Me The Right Stuff While the Song Remains the Same She Taught Me How to Fly The Man Who Built the Moon
Songs that shouldn't have been on there: Lock All the Doors The Dying of the Light
What's the point of the instrumentals?

I agree James from The Coral should produce Noel's next album. Love The Coral and love their new album. Double album. Disc 1 produced by The Coral. Disc 2 produced by The Reflex. X

I'm pleased for all you guys picking up the RSD editions, spare a thought for the less fortunate, first time I've had to miss out cause I'm broke as fuck, ah well... some shitheads gonna make a nice couple of quid off me down the line I got lucky, my sister bought me a copy, said she feels partly responsible for my obsession after bombarding me with oasis as a 10 year old back in 94 😁 For anyone looking it's now available on Townsend music store

To me it just sounds pale and a bad attempt at what he got right with the likes of Holy Mountain and She Taught Me, even Flying On The Ground A carefree, melodic, anthemic pop tune is what he was going for but it sounds a bit cheesy and forced while I know he could do it quite effortlessly when he's in the zone It was a nice live tune when played, but as an actual album song I grew tired of it after a while

I think it’s ok that The Right Stuff isn’t on there. Great track. It’s one that new listeners can go and find if they want to. Same with Let The Lord...
Noel has said himself he likes having songs that people have to find.

Yeah they really are excellent. Love James’s remix of BSD which is odd because I don’t like the original. Overall, I think Back The Way We Came is great. *edit: actually it’s not odd, because I love The Coral and clearly the remix sounds like them! The Skeleton Key versions sound more like covers by The Coral than remixes. X They do, Mossy don’t they. Fucking brilliant. He should definitely work with James at some point. Do this acoustic record he says he’s working on then have an album with guests on like James Skelly and that Shaun Ryder tune. Weller...Johnny Marr... John Squire...Damon Albarn... etc etc etc...

It was probably my friends’ favourite song on the album when it came out at the time. It was weird, it’s never going to be a Noel Gallagher fan’s favourite but it was popular with the normies.

I actually can't stand Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me and I never have liked it. So I'm glad that it's not on the album. But I agree She Taught Me How To Fly should have been on it.

It’s funny how everyone’s different even though we’re all fans of Noel and his gang of high flying birds. I really like Let The Lord (even though it’s a poor mans Gig In The Sky hand me down) but I find that She Taught Me How To Fly is just an ok song.

Don't know where to post this but does anyone have a clue where I could legally download the three Japanese bonus tracks (live from Fuji Festival 2012) from the non-RSD-release?

I had already tried to find it via a Japanese proxy on Amazon Japan, the usual providers etc., it's apparently not even available on Japanese Spotify. I'm definitely not gonna spent a further fortune on the import and since Mark's amazing blog has been sadly shut down by the unspuspecting authorities, could someone out there possibly be so kind as to put/message me/us in the right direction?

I paid €42,50. I've got all of Noel's RSD releases since 2012 and the one by Oasis (Supersonic) in 2014 as well. Have Supersonic too! Wish there was an oasis release on the years Noel doesn’t do something for RSD. I also wish Big Brother would reissue all the singles on vinyl. The second hand market is very steep. Yeah no kidding I’ve been trying to collect the 12 inch singles and some of the prices on discogs are absurd 😂
