He said he stuck vol 1 on it because the name is so good he doesn’t want to come up with another one in another 10 years. That’s a bit stupid. No way he is gonna make 3 albums in the next 9 years. A best of EP maybe. Well it’ll probably go from when he next puts out music so something like 2023 to 2033. It’s Noel, don’t look for too much logic in anything that involves words or song titles! I do hope he keeps the EPs going though.

100% Totally forgotten about freaky teeth! Love that tune. Always stood out as from the others. Underplayed too. It should have been much much better. The studio version is much too slow and has no sense of urgency compared to its live counterpart. It was a highlight when I saw Noel on his 2011 USA tour. This post is exactly why he shouldn’t record Dead in the Water

Good tunes although having to wait 3 months for 3 songs with no album is a bit long. The old format LP + EPs from the 90s was perfect.

This post is exactly why he shouldn’t record Dead in the Water Come on freaky teeth demo is great. Raw and menacing. He just cheesed it. Same for revolution song Id say he needs a shadow government of fans to tell him when he is going the wrong way on a studio recording 😁

And a studio version will be met with complaints of “it’s over produced, it doesn’t have the magic of the live version”. It happens every time and I don’t see why DitW would be any different. The second he releases a studio version the perceived quality of the live version will go through the roof.

We already have the definitive Dead in the Water.
Gorgeous recording, like a half-forgotten memory.

To record that song and other like this one Noel would need to change the way he records in the studio when he is producing. Too polished nowadays on the « traditionnel » tracks.
It should be as a « live » take with few overdubs.
The RTE version is great but its clearly from a radio broadcast, and that rarely capture the depth, dynamic and nuances of instruments. Especially the guitars.

The old format LP + EPs from the 90s was perfect. Chasing yesterday When something isnt broken… what was wrong with a bit of freedom and creativity. I wonder.

The pre order page on the iTunes Store states ‘Holy Mountain’ is Remastered. It needs a complete remix but at least it was acknowledged that it would sound like absolute shite in amongst the other properly mastered tracks. What's wrong with it? It's sounded fine to me

It's sounded fine to me It’s the worst ever recording / mastering of a Noel Gallagher studio track. Good tune, absolutely horrible, brick walled block of noise.

I love the song. I just don’t like that recording of it. Song deserves better.

Dead In The Water is ok but it's not one of my favourites by Noel and I can't stand Freeky Teeth. I never have liked it and never will.

What’s that unique thing that he’s going to do for this year’s RSD? Is he just referring to the special vinyl release of Back The Way or could it be something different?

Good to hear him saying he'll be doing unreleased stuff for future RSD releases now he's got his studio sorted.
This could be how we get these old Oasis songs he was talking about.

I wouldn’t get overly excited. I’d say that was recorded a few weeks back. I’d say he’s just referring to the special coloured version of the greatest hits but wasn’t specific because it was recorded before it was announced. The lists of what are coming out have been published. Noel’s TBA has been filled in and it’s the eBay of.
Excited for the potential for future Record Store Days though.
