Thought it was great, even though I didn't like the start. First 15 minutes I was just thinking 'yeah this is great and all but don't really care great deal about hearing the fan's perspective to this extent' and was a bit disappointed that we really didn't hear anything new from Liam, Noel or Bonehead. Not having Liam in it at all til the end was really weird too. In saying that I still loved it and like a lot of people said it felt like going to a concert, got me pumped up!

Has it been announced whether or when this is coming to streaming platforms? There are no showings in my area at all as of now.

Got to the cinema, only to learn that the showing had been cancelled due to a projector fault! Gutted! Ouch. Unlikely maybe but I wonder if they could just get the go ahead to show it again. Reminds me of when I was supposed to actually see Oasis for the first time but it was rescheduled to the night before and I didn't know till I got there. Anyway, sorry to hear that. I've rebooked for tonight at a different cinema, I'm not gonna let this beat me! I'll have to call in sick at work, but screw it.

It was great to see the inclusion of that feeling of anxiety that you get when trying to perfectly time when to flip the tape over during the recording of the concert. As someone that still has the recording that I made of the Sunday concert, that really made the film feel a bit more personal and was definitely one of the laugh out loud moments.

Don't think I'll get to watch this in the cinema - will have to make it a double feature with Supersonic.

My favorite bit was Liam's only contribution to the film at the end where he said:
"I don't remember much"
then literally two seconds later:
"I'll never forget it."

I thought it was spectacular. It also made me quite emotional. What a fucking band!

I think I read that that was actually Liam’s decision?

I enjoyed it a lot! I think it manages to get across the feeling of the event well - both the personal fan accounts and the close-up shots of the crowd contributed to that. We'll get the gigs in full anyway. The magnitude of the event indeed is amazing, it must've been breathtaking to see it from above. I prefer Earls Court to Knebworth from the famous Oasis gigs of the era (probably Maine Road, too) , because Liam is shouting a bit too much here for my liking. But when he does not "overshout" the songs, the power is incredible. Cast No Shadow sent shivers down my spine. That one is totally a peak performance. Along with the "now that you're mine" part of Slide Away, that is just brutal. Quite a lot of funny moments (Liam and Noel waving to each other ) ), it was an interesting observation that the crowd was more mixed and less "laddish" at the time. Don't know if it's indeed like that, but the front rows DID seem to be less of a fight zone than at some late Oasis and Liam gigs indeed. Glad to have seen it!

For those who have already seen Knebworth 1996. Objectively... What do you think were the best performances besides Slide Away?

The highlight was easily IGBM from the soundcheck.
Awesome.

I read the other day that will be on Paramount+ bur dunno the date It will be Paramount + for all territories where it currently exists and MTV for territories where it doesn't. Date hasn't been announced yet. But because the theatrical window is so short (film is only showing this week as an "event" rather than in a typical multi-week release) there is a decent chance it will be very soon.

Still in awe about yesterday, felt amazing with the sound blasting at eleven in my theater, and i really liked all the build up in the 15 first minutes, i'm gonna buy the cd/dvd as soon as it's available, what a time to be alive!

It’s really about the fans and the experience and the event. And it’s better for it. Brought me back to Slane 09 and my experience going to that in my late teens before heading off to uni. Went went my dad and he was sitting beside me tonight. We both thought it was great. Liam was so much fun back in the 90s.

I would like to nominate "What's a Wonderwall? Who gives a fuck." as the most definitive Noel quote ever. It's top ten, easy.

Again watching the film at the cinema next to my house in Mexico City What i really enjoy again was the mix of the drums in The Masterplan that are edited in an interesting diff way and the horn section in I am the warlus are better that ever.
No this time i dont have a “special ticket”

Cast No Shadow, Live Forever - those were the ones that stood out for me. Also nice to see IGBM at sound check (even if Liam kept getting the words wrong) accompanied by footage of him tearing round Knebworth in his golf buggy.

Noel made a remark about Liams vocals being edited but I'm almost certain Noels were. His vocals on the chorus for Acquiesce sounded much more like they did in the 00s than the 90s. The Don't Look Back In Anger sounded a lot better than the usual 90s performances too.
I absolutely loved the experience as a whole though. Just seeing them performances in a cinema was a joy. I don't think Liam sounded great on the songs that were carefully dubbed over other parts like Whatever, but when he nailed it my god did he nail it. The Live Forever and Wonderwall are better than Maine Road I reckon.

can people who saw it in the cinema tell me if there was any issues with the commentary or the guitars being too low? or the volume levels being otherwise messed up? nobody has any complaints so beginning to think the audio was designed for cinema surround sound and whoever uploaded the previews to youtube didnt adjust for it, which is why the youtube videos sound all over the place

You know like how when you’re at a gig the wind can determine what instruments you hear most. The actual event was very like that and, for me, it was like being transported back 25 years. The sound, the crowd shots, everything. Where has all this footage been hiding for so long! Anyone moaning about the first 15 mins obviously didn’t actually live through it. Everything in it happened for me. Right down the story about falling asleep on the coach on the way home only to find you were still in the car park when you woke up. And then the frantic taping it on the radio the day after reliving the best day of my life. Looking forward to seeing the full gigs now.

Watched the film at the cinema yesterday, was bit disappointed tbh! Seemed like a c5 programme where people recall funny bits of a dire comedy series. Just didn’t hang well in my opinion and not really any footage I hadn’t seen. I get they were trying to do it from a fans perspective but just don’t think it worked too well. I think if they had focussed on the band backstage/build up/post gig footage, plus a bit from fans I think would of been better. Also needed more from Liam and other band members, whole thing just seemed odd
