Black Grape have announced an album. No mention of Noel in the press release. Can’t believe how prolific Shaun is getting in his old age. And I can’t believe a third Shaun project could be coming out since we heard about the Noel collab and there’s still no sign of it!

Sorry, but, what happened with this? Any clue? It’s not been mentioned since those interviews back in 2021. Council Skies is a very Manchester album - the cover, the lyrics, the next video rumoured to be shot there - so there’s a slim chance Noel is going to surprise us and the Shaun track is on the album. But that chance is Kate Moss in the 90s slim. X |

Andy said in the listening party for the new GLOK album during the week they are back working on the album soon which would probably mean January onwards as he is back in the US with Ride in December. Andy also said he working on a new, second collaboration album with Masal. Got time to record both I suppose… The Mantras were supposed to release a vinyl only EP nearly 18 months ago and the album a year ago but nothing since their Glastonbury appearance back in 2022. |

Mantras seems to be a bit of a side project that no member has taken v seriously. The only promo it seems to get is Zak’s own low budget instagram posts. Seems mad to put a Noel collab out via it, instead of, for example, Shaun using it on his solo album, the Black Grape album or putting it out under the Mondays name; all more marketable acts that still tour. |
