I wouldn't hold your breath about a government u-turn over this especially now that the UK have left the EU. Mind you, that said this useless government have so many u- turns that it's hard to keep up. I suspect as time passes there will be some tweaks to the agreements in place and I'd expect the industry to do all it can to put pressure on the government. Yeah, you could be right. I guess it will probably be a while yet though with no gigs taking place for a while.

Don't want to derail this thread too much, but I'm rooting for you guys because you have done such an amazing job keeping infections low and with vaccination now starting you really have as good a shot as any country on earth of essentially defeating Covid-19 (sayonara!) in the coming months. Liam will no doubt be over there again soon, although probably not until he and the band and entourage can avoid isolation, which I'm not too sure would go over well ... Bill Bailey is coming for some stand up shows around the country in March and doing the two weeks managed isolation beforehand ... but yeah, I can’t imagine Liam being keen sadly 😂 Thanks for your nice words, appreciate them. I hope the situation improves in the UK soon as well 😊 A touring production like liam's would be a different proposition though- Bill can travel nearly on his own, but if Liam was bringing a band and crew, 2 weeks of their per diems would be added on- and where exactly would he play? Maybe 2 large gigs- I dunno if it would work financially. Would be cool though- seeing all these bands doing mental huge gigs in NZ, recording albums in studios. Doing the lord of the rings stuff.
