Happy to pay to watch the gig ... have really missed live music this year, so actually wish a few more artists I love had done the same thing. As someone else said, this will be a cool night in, get a pizza and a few beers, can’t wait!

The people moaning about paying this are the same people on Twitter saying #supportlivemusic etc. Most of it is probably going to crew members as well who are probably struggling in these times. £16.50 for a 16 song Liam gig with some rare tunes played in a great setting doesn't sound bad to me at all, get some beers in and a takeaway on a Saturday night and enjoy it. Something to look forward to! Exactly.

Then call it charity.. I would quite happily help live music but liam should have add at least 1 song and make it worthwhile. 20 euros could be nish to someone, they could be something to another one. Well, charity would be false advertising. It isn't charity, it's paying people for their work, same as any gig. Presumably, Liam would have played dozens of gigs over the last few months without playing a single new song had there not been a pandemic, so not including a new song doesn't make it something unusual. For that matter, no one here can be 100% certain he didn't play a new song since no one knows the full set list. At any rate, the new song will be coming and probably in a similar time frame. So you'll still get new music even if you're not into the gig.

How will it be streamed? Just a weblink? After purchasing the ticket, you get a code to access to the streaming. A good friend of mine in Manchester bought me the ticket for Weller's stream gig this week and I'm really looking forward to it. Think the price is similar to Liam's one. I already got a code to Weller's and I can watch it on my TV. I don't mind to paying for a stream gig in time like these, but then again each on their own. Rather paying for this than 170 Euro for the limited disc which was announced last week.

"I'm performing tracks from my 2 number 1 solo albums & some stone cold Oasis classics" I get your point but he could have played his new single then, it would have been a great way to advertise it. Anyway I'm not trying to be a buzz killer lol, it's still a lg gig. Have fun!

Going to buy tickets for steam 2 because there's no way I'm going to be functional at 10PM for 3. They are trying to emulate the scarcity with the ticketing system. Understandable. Not doing it live means little or no technical issues.

£16.50 seems steep for something that will offer little more than what I can watch on YouTube at my own leisure. I'm glad it's given people some work but in that price I'd expect there to be room for a donation to Help Musicians or something. Also obviously things are very up in the air but as it stands this is streamed after the current restrictions end. Seems like weird timing. I'll probably pay because I'm a sucker.
I have a computer connected to my TV so the platform shouldn't be an issue for me. I hope there's an app for TVs/boxes for others because for the price it needs to be viewable on the big screen imo. £16.50 to spend your evening hunched over a laptop would be no good.

Money to listen Liam (adult) sing old hits that have not been sung for a long time, to give financial support to the show's workers, and to see and listen a suggestive show with professional audio / video footage: it's money well spent. And £ 16.50 is also inexpensive for all of this! W Liam Gallagher!

We know the new single is imminent, so does it really matter if he plays it at this gig or not?
My guess is that the new single will drop towards the end of the stream and they're keeping it as a surprise.
I'll definitely be trying to get access to the stream.

I won't be buying a ticket for this as it should be free. Anyway, I'll be patient and wait to see if I can either buy it on a bootleg cheap or wait and see if it's available to download from Tubidy in the future. Buying a ticket to watch a streamed concert doesn't sit well with me especially as streams aren't always perfect and do cut out.

I just hope they keep the performance as 'live' as possible, I haven't really enjoyed it when his voice has been touched up too much. Any imperfections add to the experience imo, also makes the bits where he nails it even better. For a pro-shot Gas Panic I think it'll be worth the money for me.

I can't believe the amount of negativity and cynicism in response to this announcement! Reality is Live Gigs aren't going to be happening for a long, long time and this is the best possible alternative. It's going to look incredible and will sound great too! Looks like Charlie Lightening is on Director duty again
£16.50 is a very reasonable fee especially when you have to consider the work that will have gone into it and the costs for the session musicians, lighting, audio engineers, camera operators - All of whom will have had next to no income all year.

Seems like he will piggy back off this gig and release a new song for Christmas. Thats my guess.
I think it makes more sense to hear a new song properly on a radio opposed to a live stream on boat.

I don't see live gigs coming back any time soon. this is the new normal for the music industry, a lot of artists are doing this kind of ticketed streams. I'd just wish the stream would be available for a bit longer in the day, rather than just the time slot you're assigned with the purchase. it doesn't seem to be the case here. I hope my crappy internet connection cooperates

Free? What a mad thing to say.
Loads of costs with this - rehearsals, band wages, roadies, logistics folk, lighting and stage, boat hire, security, filming and editing, insurance, promotion...

Cool that Liam wants to help people under his wing. I can't afford it so I won't watch. Nor my internet conection would allow me to watch on a full basis.

Of course, no product is for everyone, all people have their own opinions based on their personal circumstances and that is ok. I know people who think it’s dumb to buy music or movies because you can easily stream them for free, so to each their own.
Personally, I live in a country where Liam never comes to play (and never will) so I’m very excited to be able to access this experience and support him and his crew. As other people have suggested, a night in with the gf, beer and nice food sounds like a perfect plan, especially for these times when there aren’t a ton of options to break the routine.

I think, that a lot of crew people where happy to work again with this huge production. Why should these people not being paid?
I’d love to pay for this one.

What constitutes a 'reasonable fee' differs from person to person. Personally, I think a lot of people are struggling just now with job insecurity and losses. £5-£10 max would have been a nice gesture and I think more would be willing to buy into it.
I'm sure it will do well, but I'm going to give it a miss.
