Whilst i think the hype surrounding Arteta was overblown he has to be given some time. When a club has been in decline for a number of years fixing it will take a couple of seasons.

Could have handled his exit better at City but feel a bit for him. Couldn’t really turn the Arsenal job down as an ex-captain but it’s a tough gig and not sure what’s going on with Aubameyang this season.
Come back and work under Pep, Mikel!

Favorite match of the season as we approach the halfway stage?
Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea, easily.
Not only for the win and our overall performance, but the match itself - it had everything:
Goals, Converted Penalty, Missed Penalty, Disallowed Goal, Late Drama, Saka at his best, the one match that Xhaka did something beneficial, a win for the minnows, and laughter at Chelsea.
Well chuffed.
There hasn’t been much to be excited for with this season, but that match had all the drama the Premier League is renowned for.

The age old debate: Should we have stayed at Highbury?
The decision to move to the Emirates was made at our peak success and thus made perfect sense at the time.
But well over a decade later, it’s questionable if the move has been worth it. Thankfully we have FA Cup memories to at least cherish, but it’s not nearly enough. (And that time YaYa Sanogo scored four goals in one match).

I am sure the Emirates has tremendous facilities but like all these new stadiums, looks soulless and I suspect half full of tourists at most games.

Let’s talk Oldegaard. ———————
I knew literally fuck all about Oldegaard until I saw him play for us.
I now want Arteta to sign him.
I know we were equally hasty with the fairly disappointing Ceballos. But Oldegaard feels much different.
We’ve desperately needed a creative attacking centre Mid, ever since Ozil decided to boycott the last two seasons.
But.... And I’m not taking a shot here, I genuinely mean this:
Why would a rising young prodigy sign for a stangated club? Surely the bigger clubs would be interested in him as well.
London is a strong appeal though, and with Chelsea equally stagnating I reckon that might sway him to staying with, should we want him.
I do like what I see, though.

Good luck, the kid has been earmarked to success in Madrid for the past 5 years. And I Guess he wants that as well. I don't see him like Kovacic, Ceballos, Bale, Theo or Brahim who are loaned to sell them because they arent good enough for the team.

But as a club we are too stagnated for any of his consideration.

Most entertaining match in donkey’s.
It had everything:
Goals, Contender for Goal of the Season, Shots Hitting the Posts, Penalty, Tough Physical Match, Red Card, Disallowed Goal, OLDEGAARD!!!!, Arsenal Victory over the Mortal Enemy. And Laughter at Maureen.
Couldn’t have asked for anything more from such a terrific North London Derby. Up the Arsenal!! #COYG

Thank you for the FA Cup memory, Arteta, but it’s time to say goodbye.
I would be more than okay with Arteta getting the sack.

Arteta set the table for a very bad season before the season even started -
Whether you think Guendouzi and/or Ozil should have been ostracized, Arteta completely mismanaged both decisions. And by doing so, casted a dark cloud over the morale and confidence of the entire team - both of which persist to this day.
I don’t like Mikel at all. I hate his attitude (or lack there of). He has never looked like he really wants to be a manager - at Arsenal, or otherwise.
Our squad, while not great, is much better than the 10th place finish. If Arteta can’t motivate his players, then it’s time to find a manager who can actually get the best of his team.
We’re literally repeating Man Utd’s follies immediately post-Fergie. Not good enough.
