I must have been to 30+ Oasis or Gallagher gigs and this went straight into the top 5!. Been saying for a while - these Liam gigs, to me anyway, are so much better than the later Oasis shows. Agreed. Although, there are some good later Oasis gigs but the set lists had the same early Oasis songs in them at every gig and there was no variation at all.

Also, he and Tom Jones were dedicating songs to each other which was unexpected I didnt catch Sir Tomβs gig, what song did he dedicate? I'm afraid I can't remember but he said something like 'this one is for my friend Liam who is on after me'

I'm not sure if Liam will ever do Knebworth, yes I know he's said he would on Twitter but I do wonder if he ever will. As for Oasis I don't want them back as I prefer things as they are at the moment with both Noel and Liam being solo artists and doing their own thing.

Its a double edge sword, if he pulls it off great, but if not... Yeah, that's very true and I agree. But I guess that time will tell if he ever does or not. Reviews of several of his biggest solo gigs have said he could maybe headline it solo if he wanted to, and if he did I'd sure as hell go. But I think the issue with doing shows at Knebworth is that they'll only ever be compared to Oasis' gigs there. And while it could be an absolute blast like Glasgow was, for countless reasons it's still not going to be August 1996 re-incarnated. And hence will just be written off as a letdown. So I can't help but feel Liam may leave Knebworth untouched. However one night solo on an epic scale (80,000+) somewhere else would be pretty awesome.

I agree that if Liam ever did do a gig at Knebworth it would only be compared to the Oasis ones and of course it's not going to be 1996 as that was a moment in time. It would be great if Liam did pull it off but like you say that he may leave Knebworth untouched. Maybe at some point Liam will play a massive gig somewhere else in the future.

Here is why I think Liam should not do a Knebworth - when I was watching the film, I was struck by how freaking young everyone was. Like not even 20s, more like teens. And there you have it. Liam's current fanbase is spread out amongst ages, but I don't think the majority of it is of the age that wants to put themselves at the back of a massive crowd with a limited view, pit toilets, and nothing but endless dirt/mud. I sure as hell wouldn't go to that.
