Hopefully everyone starts to tour once the vaccine kicks off, I've missed going to gigs. Apart from a yearly family holiday gigs are all I look forward to

When is Heaton Park getting rearranged?! Yeah I'm also hoping for this to be re-arranged soon! Was set for the day before Parklife this year, but in the last week Parklife 2021 has been moved to September and New Order have been announced as doing a gig there the day before. Don't think Heaton Park has hosted many big gigs in recent years other than in the couple of weeks around Parklife when the stage is in place there.

It's not a real festival but Liam will be part of the Jazzopen 2021 in Stuttgart, Germany.
They will held up these shows with a coronavirus concept. Vaccinated folks and people who tested negative are able to attend the show.
Sale starts on thursday.

Liam's festival gig in my country has been cancelled

Liam's festival gig in my country has been cancelled I doubt you will be alone unfortunately. Everyone getting a wee bit carried away while still having the little virus to deal with. I wonder if he will perhaps do another Thames Gig affair I.e. pay per view? Surely that would create a decent stream of revenue. We can but wish to see the man live once more!!

I'll be surprised if any festivals actually go ahead this year even if people are vaccinated or not. And, I think that people will be very lucky if any do actually go ahead.

Doubt he would do another Thames gig, unless things really go south (which, please, no). Stuff this summer is more likely to be local (not in Europe or overseas) and outdoors but no one really knows exactly how it will go from here and how much vaccination will be needed to stop Fall surges as new variants pop up. Concert promoters don't know anymore than the rest of us know ... but people will start planning stuff and selling tickets anyway, because people do. The amount of entertainment industry activity has picked up noticeably here in LA the last few weeks, which is a positive signal. People will forge ahead until they are given a stop sign ...

I read on the BBC news pages that tickets were still on sale for concerts which can't go ahead. So obviously tickets are still being sold for these things.

Hedging bets to say the least. I really doubt reading and Leeds will go ahead to be Frank, or alot of thr big head liner spots Liam is booked at.

Yeah, exactly the problem is at the moment Covid is still around and is still spreading even if it's worse in other countries than here in the UK. And, the thing is nobody really knows from what I've read how long the vaccine gives protection.

Nothing else to be done. If infections stay reasonably low in England (but we'll see how that goes with everything open and people bringing in mutant strains from India) and vaccinations of younger people proceed well, I can see outdoor festivals happening in late summer. Things will look different by then, it's just a question of which way they will go. Not sure about the laws in UK, but in US, there are some big liability questions that are going to have to be answered for promoters of big indoor shows ...
