to my knowledge, youtube is in high quality 265 kbps max... just buy cd/vinyl or stream from tidal/spotify Youtube is now only 128 kbps for audio, unless you pay for one of their premium memberships. Why is OP insisting the YouTube upload is amazing and historical quality? I honestly dont get it

Pfft. Vinyl is superior to CD quality.

I honestly dont get it IDK, I guess he's just happy he can listen to this song without paying for it. And I don't mean that as any sort of criticism.

Wow, this is harsh lol What I wanted to accomplish with this thread was bringing attention to the digital catalogue Noel's management is working towards, on YouTube specifically. To me, because I live in Canada it's strange to see it auto-generated in a time where I thought "I'd Pick You Every Time" was being considered for another physical release or for the 10th Anniversary. My confusion has obviously led me down a path where everyone here is questioning my sanity now, and my frugality about 'free' audio. But I actually do pay for YouTube Premium. So apologies if I misled anyone here, or confused you. I live in Canada. Noel's music is scarce here in terms of physical copies, and digital streaming is really the only way to find his music for us here in Canada. Unless I actually pre-order and order copies of Noel's singles and albums in physical, then I'd obviously do that. But I'm honestly not able to simply because of who I live with and how they're against physical media - what with the space a lot of records and CDs would take up, if I had a collection of sorts going. To me it's worth something, and regardless of how it's seen I'd still take it over CD and vinyl, which I am not against either. Again, apologies to anyone here lol

Kind of fitting that the only way this song warrants discussion is in an argument about bitrates.

Not buying that exact single doesn't make it cease to exist. Thanks. Imagine if everyone shared your view in 1994 and Definitely Maybe was a commercial failure. We may have never heard Wonderwall, DLBIA, Champagne Supernova etc. Thanks. What do you mean exactly? How am I responsible for people's view in 1994? I didn't steal anything - I just didn't buy that single - and I can't see that making a dent on the music industry to be honest. Are we as humans obliged to buy every release ever or what's your point? How does not buying that specific single make me kill the music industry? I can name endless singles I haven't bought... I never bought Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley for example or I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred... Thanks x

Weird thread but love the song. Wish he'd release "Just Let It Come Down Over Me", even as-is.

I put this on a mixtape for my gf now wife years back. She enjoyed it and got me a silver guitar pick with I Pick You on it for our wedding. The end.
Now I wonder if the bitrate was better, maybe the pick would have been gold instead of silver...

I wanna crawl into a hole and die because of the cringe I've created LMAO. Guys I want to apologize. Things have been so friggin' stressful lately, things are crazy. I guess I was just so excited to hear a better version (to my ears) of the track that this one just went over my head. So for that, I apologize. LOL

You posted your thought on the version you heard which was best for your ears anyway at that moment. We move on and will enjoy the music.

Does anybody know a digital store where I can buy the b-sides from his first album in the Netherlands?

LOL Ah no need to stress - I think the thread is quite telling about how far behind Noel and his management are regarding all things digital media. In today’s day and age, all the top acts are dynamic in releasing highest quality form of music everywhere possible immediately upon release (even back in 2011). Noel’s management have always been behind the curve when it comes to release strategies and promotion. Heck, it was only a couple of years ago that Oasis b-sides were released to wider audiences on streaming sites. Up until a few years ago, the only way of getting the b-sides that weren’t on The Masterplan was to buy old singles off eBay or illegally download them. A hit single like Whatever wasn’t widely available for years either. Incredible how a global band like Oasis was being run like a corner shop.

To be honest I haven't listened to this song in ages. But I don't mind it, it's probably not one of Noel's best but it's ok.
