Discuss!
Acoustic Sessions should've had a Physical Release, especially with the promo push of the 'Once' Video.
Both Releases could've been more LG-Solo heavy. They don't need to lean on Oasis songs so heavily. This is what's most disappointing about the Unplugged Tracklisting.

Without overthinking it, Unplugged has "One of us". Sorted!

I'll be the one who prefers Acoustic Sessions
Mostly because of Liam's voice - Sad Song and Stand By Me are classic, best voice since Lyla, so powerful and clean... And also because of better versions of Once, NTIFY and CNS. No doubt MTV Unplugged is huge one, probably it's one of the classic Gallaghers release, One Of Us shocks me in a good way too but it suffers from bad choice of AYW and WM?WN. songs (tbh, I was waiting for FWIW or WM?WN., not for WOG and NTIFY). Alright Now and Meadow is not really good choice but at least... Acoustic Sessions is good little fresh wind blow in a summer heat, MTV Unplugged is a shock of the lightning

Both essential but MTV Unplugged has to be some sort of vindication for Liam even if it's his fault completely that Noel stole the show for the original broadcast. And it flows better as a listening experience than Acoustic Sessions does. I think he should've bundled acoustic sessions as a bonus disc for WMWN or reissued WMWN with it as it was slipping down the charts, it could've helped drum up sales and of course the performances are fantastic all around.

Both have their high points, but very hard to beat the humanity and warmth of a live show, and especially the full-on rarity of Liam performing an entire intimate set. (The only thing that does beat it is new music.)

As someone said below, I wish there'd been more Liam solo stuff, and most of the Liam solo stuff they did select was not the stuff I was most interested in.

Acoustic sessions. If only for the best version of Sad Song ever (until that old demo will be released). Classic, underrated gem etc. Also these versions of Meadow and Alright Now pleasantly surprised me.

Acoustio sessions for me. I wish it had 3 or 4 more songs though. Plus, no reason for two versions of Once. Sad Song, Stand By Me and Once are fricking class though.

I voted for Acoustic Sessions. But the perfect choice would be the voice from AS with the arrangement from Unplugged. And no Wall Of Glass, it doesn't work in acoustic.

I love both but MTV unplugged is better.

Could anyone somehow mix a blend of the two albums?

I like both fairly equally but MTV U feels more complete as a listening experience, which is odd as it’s missing tracks all over the place. acoustic sessions is great but feels like a bonus rather than a live album in its own right. That said, hearing Alright Now and Meadow was great.

Think the Acoustic Sessions was a nice surprise to have a collection of songs, there's some really good versions on there but its not something you would sit and listen to from start to finish, I.e. Once is on twice.
Unplugged is a good listen from start to finish. Prefer some of the versions to Acoustic Sessions and vice versa

The MTV Unplugged is something special - I never thought that something like this could really happen. NTIFY sounds so amazing - still can't get enough of it.

I took the Once demo off the end of my download of Acoustic Sessions ... since I already have it ripped from the bonus tracks on the WMWN box set. Think it improves the release not having it there, but also understand why Liam wanted to stick his favourite version of the song on the end.

MTV Unplugged for me. I really like his vocals throughout all of it.

To be honest I don't listen to either of them a lot but when I do I listen to them both all the way through.
