I'd love McGregor to win purely to piss off the boxing snobs but no chance in hell. Heading out to watch in a bit. Like to see him land some strong hits on wife beater Mayweather. Like he's a little dazed kind of hits. That'll do me.

Well there it is. He held his own. Like to see Floyd take a kick to the head. A bonanza for bars. Will there be a rematch? Money, Money, Money says yes. Will there be more of this type of spectacle? Pretty sure this is a sign of the future

what fight were you guys watching?! from a boxing perspective connor was embarrassing. he had zero defence, looked spent after the 2nd round and was throwing the weakest punches ive seen in a ring. floyd was just playing with him... not to take anything away from mcgreggor as an MMA fighter, but this bout showed he is definitely no boxer.

Conor gave it all in his first pro fight against a legitimate GOAT and I think we all knew the result was never in doubt but he's made enough money for life and raised his profile even more. I hope he takes a few months off to recharge and gets back into his sport and sparks out Khabib.
THAT is the fight I want to see. I feel his stand up will go to new heights in the Octagon as he will have picked up new methods from all the intense boxing work he has done. I'd happily put money on Floyd training him in boxing methods for a future UFC bout as it will being publicity for the UFC & Conor and Floyd.
That being said the fight game is the fight game and Khabib could knock his head off with one punch or pummel him on the ground from a takedown and that's what makes the fight the one I want to see.

Still the best fight I watched live in my 45 years. Brutal. I remember watching that as well. Obviously had tragic consequences but what a fight. McClellan was an animal away from the ring as well as in it. He used to buy puppies from his local shops and put them in a 'pit' with one of his fighting dogs. He'd then time how long it took his fighting dog to kill the puppy.

I heard all that stuff after the fact but at the time all I knew was that he was supposed to be the best fighter in the world and pretty much unbeatable. No one gave Benn a chance. Really unfortunate what happened afterwards of course. Benn was never the same afterwards either, truly a fight that changed both fighters forever.

Anybody staying up for Canelo-GGG? Biggest fight in boxing ATM.
I fancy an even start but think Canelo will begin to boss it and stop GGG.

What a joke. Boxing really doesn't help itself sometimes does it. That was a complete fix. Did the 110-118 in favour of Canelo judge get on the panel via some care in the community scheme or something?
That's put me off of boxing for a while. Basically Golovkin would have had to knock him out to win, whereas all Canelo had to do with move around the ring and not get knocked out. Fucking farce
Edit, just seen it's that lady judge. Well it's 2017, diversity and all that, idiots who identify in a certain way because of what genitals they were born with need 'representation' on the telly so sod being competent then I suppose.
