To be fair the UK Government are pretty dumb. They scale down all the transport to contain the virus, but couldn't work out if there's less transport more people will be crowded onto it.
How does he think these Doctors/Nurses etc get to work if they don't drive

I’ve done my bit anyway, I’ve given our visitors parking permit to a nurse (we live next to an hospital) so she can park for free. Can’t beat going to the corner shop and someone walking in with one of them masks on, nearly shit myself earlier.

And now Trump is claiming he will lift the "quarantine" in 3 weeks just for the sake of the economy. What a nightmare this nation will experience if he does this.

Dutch government has announced a stricter measure last night as beaches and DIY shops were packed last Saturday. Now those who can't cooperate, will get a fine of 400 Euro as a person and 4000 Euro as a company. They also extended with banning all the events including sports, pubs and restaurants until 31st May.
Today supermarkets and drug stores started a new measure. Only one person for 10 square meter in a supermarkets and a drug stores is allowed, which means only a handful people are allowed to enter the shop at once and others must wait in a queue outside until one is finished with groceries.
Majority of nation has no problem with it and trying to help to get through all this together. Yet, there's still some who says "it's a nice weather, so why can't I just go to a park with my kids?" or young people walking stick to each other. It's a damn shame.
Stay safe and stay strong everyone!

London still at it.... Omg this pic gives me anxiety 😭 I’m immune compromised so trying to leave the house only twice a week, just to my local empty post office because I work from home and need to ship, plus one grocery run.

Won't be that effective sadly. Evidence suggests that the virus can linger in the air and on surfaces for hours.

London still at it.... How long can you hold your breath ? How many stations ? That’s fortunately not my pic. Absolutely disgraceful that people have been put in this position. I’m only in London Wed-Sat cos I’m still teaching Mon & Tues down here. The infection stats for London are terrifying.

Majority of people order online anyway. The images of packed tube in London is scary as hell.

Good, coz i was gonna say someone on this pic looked like he was gonna kidnap you or something Boris has indeed been slow to take actions, I suppose once all of this is over, many powerful leaders will have to face their nation and that's gonna end up bad for some.

I think comparing him to a dog from an insurance advert is quite appropriate.....

Gonna be interesting to see how nations are gonna come out of it. If union is indeed better than isolation.

Christophe Soumillon's RMC rant translated: For the past month, I have been crossing borders, Dubai, Japan, Hong Kong and others. With this pandemic of Coronavirus, I am very careful - I have even been tested several times negative - not to bring it home, and Monday morning, I was completely shocked when crossing customs with several colleagues on the descent from the plane. No temperature measurement, nobody asked us where we came from, what we were doing. Basically, Monday morning, I had a harder time going to buy bread at the bakery because you had to keep two meters between all, while at customs, we were on top of each other. Nobody asked for our phone number, our email, unlike what is done in other airports. I'm a little shocked!

And to be clear, this is based on experiments in labs in controlled situations where an aerosol can linger in the air. The likelihood of an aerosol lasting that long outside of the lab is very unlikely. You would need to be in a place with poor (or no) ventilation for it to last more than a few seconds in the wild. That being said, it does point out that possibility that you could still contract it this way based on those conditions. Also, COVID-19 is the repository disease that develops from contracting the virus (short for Coronavirus Disease 2019). SARS-Cov-2 is the actual name for the virus itself.

Day 5 or 7 of quarantine it feels like a very long Sunday except there's no football. days blend one into another, it reminds me of this quote by Janis Joplin: “Tomorrow never happens. It’s all the same fucking day, man.”
