Oh boy, someone just equated the Holocaust to Covid 19. π€¦π»ββοΈ
As someone who may have had a Spanish Flu recipient (Grandmother's side), not on.

So Boris Johnson has finally apologised for all the deaths caused by Covid and says that they did everything they could. Well, I'm sorry but that's bollocks as they when they knew that cases kept rising they did nothing until it was too late, three times before a national lockdown was called. It's all too little too late.

The Tory's will always put the economy first but they took their collective eyes off the ball September - November and acted far too late.
I'd also argue Eat Out to Help Out didn't help matters either.
Now we're going to see major issues with the vaccines because the EU are kicking off over the delivery of a vaccine they haven't even approved yet...

It's unbelievable. It's going very slow too, so far only 163000 people have been vaccinated. We have 17 million citizens. All stores except supermarkets and drug stores are closed, schools are closed and we have a curfew from 9 til 4.30. Only one person is allowed to visit. YET it doesn't go well. I'm worried this will be a throw away year as well.

and now football supporters and farmers are helping police to protect their towns against those idiots. We've seen quite opposite for years, Mean Mrs. Mustard? The first 4 perpetrators received imprisonment yesterday. But again, this has nothing to do with lockdown or curfew. Those brainless idiots are always looking for a "reason" to cause trouble.

Yeah I've heard! Plenty of farmers and football hooligans where I live Thank God they still have some sense. It seems to calm down now.

A huge advantage that he could have tried to take advantage of. But he didnβt, because heβs a cvnt. His initial policy was for us all to get it. A complete charlatan and a murderous cvnt. Fuck him.

Now I could never be a police officer but I read on the BBC news pages that a third of officers face Covid threats in England and Wales as they've been threatened by someone who they believe had Covid. Honestly some people are absolutely disgusting.

What this pandemic has exposed in a lot of people is the unwillingness to make any sort of sacrifice in ones own life, even when it directly aids others.

So Matt Hancock reckons that we'll have a Covid free summer. Well, we'll have to wait and see about that because nobody knows what's going to happen yet and this virus is very unpreditable.

Is Piers Corbyn really that stupid? I don't know why Jeremy doesn't disown him.

Very sad to read in on the BBC news pages that Captian Tom Moore is in hospital with Covid. I hope he pulls through, he's not on a ventilator at the moment but he tested positive when he was being treated for pneumonia. It's amazing what he did last year by doing laps in his garden and raised millions for the NHS.

R.I.P Captain Sir Tom Moore who has sadly died of Covid. It's such a shame but also had pneumonia so I guess at his age (as he was 100) it would be hard to fight off.

Lockdown is extended for a month at least over here, but primary schools are open next week.
I'm getting used to lockdown and curfew to be honest.

I wonder what will happen if a really dangerous mutation (with a considerably higher chance of severe symptoms) becomes dominant

Lockdown is extended for a month at least over here, but primary schools are open next week. I'm getting used to lockdown and curfew to be honest. I'm not. I'm feeling more and more isolated. At least previous lockdowns allowed me to visit my friends and my parents more, now I have to cram everything in the weekends and be back before 9, while everyone lives so far away. It's not necessarily that I miss shopping or going out, but I do miss my friends, the gym, yoga, hell I even miss the office. Using Skype is only nice for so long. I'm also getting very tired and fed up with the incompetence of our gouvernment, the incredibly slow tempo the vaccinating happens and all. And now they don't seem to care about anything but their own image, as of course next month elections take place. How convenient... I kinda see 2020 as a throw away year, but it looks like 2021 is also heading that way.

In fact we all are frustrated with the situation we're in right now. I don't support VVD nor CDA, especially VVD. It's not what I've been up for all my life, yet I must admit that Mark Rutte is handling this crisis very well. I don't think anyone else would be able to do better than him. Just like you and all the others, I do miss seeing my family and friends. I miss going to a gig, getting in a train for a day out, do shopping in town etc. I don't see 2021 a throuw away year. I have a lot of plans to do this year despite of the situation and if I can't manage to complete it before the end of the year, I'll carry on next year. Blijf gezond en be positive!

So our Government are now saying that they aim to vaccineinate everyone over 50 by May, well, we'll see won't we. But if they do manage it then they can get on and vaccinate everyone else afterwards. But I won't build my hopes up.

The entire thing rests on supply of the vaccines. If we have them, we can distribute them. Hopefully the Pzifer production issues will be resolved in the next week - 2 weeks and Moderna should be releasing their vaccine to the UK sometime soon I believe, so we should have a steady flow available across 3 suppliers to really maximise the deployment.
We (the collective across the UK) have done an excellent job so far. Reason why? It's being handled by the NHS and not by the government!

True. But the problem is Boris Johnson and his cronies make promises that they cannot keep half the time and tell so many lies that it's unbelievable. But let's hope that by the end of the year most of the nation will be vaccinated.

It certainly doesn't seem over a year now since this crisis started. It's been the most horrible thing that we've all had to face. And, I see there's been yet more arse holes who have been breaking the rules again by having an illegal party. At least they've been fined good amounts of money which can only be a good thing as it's their own fault and should stick to the rules.

Just heard from my friend in UK that there's 5th death in his family.
I, for myself, for my family, for my friends and for all the people who lost their loved ones by this pandemic, keep carrying on with these restrictions no matter how long it will take.
Stay safe everyone.
