Saying he's "covering" it is a bit optimistic. Not only does Lewis Garibaldi sound like he's got a mouth full of potatoes, he also did fuck all with the song. It sounds like he's just noodling around improvising a melody over Noel's lyrics. It went absolutely nowhere artistically and doesn't even sound like a full song. What a waste of time.
Next up: Britney Spears strums an Em and mumbles half the chorus of Wonderwall#
Fook off

"I used to be good at doin covers"
FFS!
Reminds me of all those knobheads on X-Factor saying they're good at karaoke and then come on and sound like shit

Why do all modern singers sing in the same style? I don't know how to explain it but they kind of shorten the last word in a phrase.

Not a good cover at all.
I like Lewis, funny guy. His music though...not for me. I don't get how its so popular. But fair play to him.

Ah Lewis Capaldi. He's #relatable but also sings like William Wallace halfway through being hung, drawn and quartered. It seems for the young uns these days unfortunately the former is far more important than the latter. My music teacher told me in 1996 that Liam Gallagher was relatable but sung like a cat being slowly strangled. As Noel said in the 1995 O-Ozone - “the kids know. They always know!”

Can't believe this bugger's album's spent 10 weeks at number one. We should all be ashamed. He might not be a bad lad, but his tunes are shouty, formulaic dreck.

I just heard one of his tunes on a "pop-rock" radio station the other day. Shows you words have no meaning when you have cult rock artists who never get radio airplays but this mainstream pop does on a rock station and probably on all the mainstream radio stations aswell. Talk about heavy rotation. As for his tunes, as you said, they are bad.
