I still wish Noel put Do The Damage and Freaky Teeth on HFB like he originally planned. This is based on those mock track lists seen in the making of doc. It had Do The Damage opening the record and Freaky Teeth in the middle. I didn’t need Record Machine or Stop The Clocks.

My favorite record from his solo career. While The Song Remains The Same is the best track he's done during this era imo.

I agree that it feels more like a collection of songs than a cohesive album. WBTM is a lot better from that point of view. Nevertheless, the only track that I skip is X-Ray Eyes. Some of them can be quite dad-rockish or derivative but they're still very enjoyable. While the Song... and Mighty I are brilliant.

The only Gallagher album I feel that way about is As You Were.

It doesn't seem 5 years old already. It's still my favourite Noel solo album and the one I listen to the most.

I always wonder how it would've worked out with Do the Damage as the opener. Not by replacing or taking away any songs but just put in front of all the others. Might give it a few goes when I go for a long walk next time.

We know it was worked on for his debut and in the album making of doc we saw it written on the original track listing. I believe as the opener. Could be wrong.

I was just about the watch that doc for the first time so I'll keep an eye on that. I mean, it's not impossible, after all, he did use it as a set opener for quite a few songs during the CY tour.

Very rarely listen to it. Its a weird not cohesive record, like a bad compilation done by a record label without the artist’s consent. Agreed fully. Weird album. Weirder than Back the way we Came vol 1.

I'm sure it was released on March 2nd. Wiki says both but I categorically remember March 2nd (as he started his tour later that week) and Feb 25th was when it leaked online. Anyway, it's a good album - a really good one. Probably my least favourite of Noel's solo ones but it's dead close. It's my favourite of the 3.

I love Do The Damage it's great but I'm not so sure it would have worked as the album opener of Chasing Yesterday and I love the album as it is.
