Snagged a ticket for Tuesday 24th
Umm'ed and arr'ed about it. Last time I saw him was the O2 Ritz / Absolute Radio gig two years ago in Manc, and that was a fantastic night that (should it have been the last time I saw him live), was a rock solid farewell (playing the whole of WBTM, a surprising and fave Alone on The Rope and then a good pick of the classics)
Pricey (£68) but did on the basis it's going to be a good few years before he does Manc again and I'm mostly done with the gig scene by and large
Hoping he chucks in a good few suprises. Would like 'A Dream is All I need'...

There’s still a presale on o2 Priority if anyone has missed it. Were there standing tickets going mate, or is it all seated? Went to see Kelly Jones there last year and it was a seated one, is all.

Snagged a ticket for Tuesday 24th ... Wednesday for me. This boy wrote the soundtrack to my life so far, I’m not bailing on him.

It's so much money though.
Ludicrous pricing.
Of course if it's going towards cancer research then that explains it (didn't know if the Apollo gigs were).

Manchester standing tickets still available. I can't bring myself to buy them at £70 a pop.
Seems like he's not an instant sell out in his hometown anymore.. shame
Don't want to derail the thread or start anything team LG or team NG, but reckon Liam might have sold out these two gigs if they were announced for him. Or maybe not at £70 a ticket

Or maybe not at £70 a ticket I've just bought a ticket but like you I found it very hard and it's only because it's my birthday in March that I'll be able to afford it. I can only imagine it's because the gigs are all going towards cancer research. It's a lot of money. My figuring is it could be the last time I see him for a good while and will definitely be the first time in just under a year so it'll be worth it. Liam probably would sell it out, though then again who knows with the ridiculous pricing.

Standing and pricier seats STILL available. Madness for a 3500 capacity venue.
This will definitely come as a shock to Noel I think. I'm anticipating some anger directed at 'parka monkeys' coming up.

Honestly I think people need to stop thinking he cares. He has openly said he knows his tickets don't sell like Liam's. It's been three years. He doesn't give a shit. The prices are ridiculous and I think it will have put a lot of people off, especially since Noel's fans are, let's face it, regulars who have seen him a lot. Whether that's because it's charity or not I don't know. But it's an outrageous price for a gig (and I said the same when Liam's went on sale for a similar price).

He’s a singer/songwriter enjoying his current thing. He’s almost certainly more successful in his game than we all are in ours. I don’t understand how people who were once fans seem to enjoy gloating that he’s not as popular as he was. Strange cats. He could fill stadiums on many consecutive nights if he wanted, we know how. He’s still the one in control, as he always was. Is all he needs.

When I was a teenager and the former Beatles were in their 50s I didn't think they were that cool anymore either.

However, I'm sure they'll still be great nights and that the venue will fill up soon enough. I'm off on the Tuesday (meant to book the Wednesday and clicked the wrong bloody date!) and looking forward to it.

Don't get me wrong, but you might be underestimating the impact of one little thing called Brexit. I, for instance, was interested in one of these gigs, but won't risk buying a ticket until I know what kind of ID I'd need, as a EU citizen. I won't buy a ticket if, adding to the ticket price, travel and hotel expenses I'll have to add a passport renewal cost and, God forbid, a visa. I'm in no way saying that is the case with everybody, but I could see it a hinderance.

We aren't talking Heaton Park here, we are talking about a 3500 capacity venue. I'm still able to get standing tickets 3 days after they went on sale. bt95 Yeah, mental ticket prices I agree.

Prices are ridiculously expensive. Should be £40 max, simple as. Manchester isn’t for charity so no need to be that high.
Would help if he would do some promotion, a radio session, acoustic or otherwise to get some attention.
