Going to the Adelaide gig, the fact he has a few days to rest up before and after and it is on a Saturday night excites me! First time he has come to Adelaide since 2014 with Beady Eye, Fremantle gigs also first time he has come to Western Australia since then. According to setlistfm it is also the first time Liam has come to New Zealand since 1998 when Oasis played in Wellington and Auckland

Off to see Liam at spark arena - last stop and an early Xmas present
Suprised to see the lack of sold out signs here
Given the size of the venues - probably 85% full I’m guessing
Doesn’t bother me who is going to be honest or how full it is Just suprised

That is AU$160 or 85GBP to see Liam, ridiculously expensive really. 70GBP to see him without the bus transfer is still overpriced. Regardless, it will still be amazing and I can't wait to see Liam again (even if it is in a half empty field!) The good news is at least only the hardcore fans will cough up, meaning it will probably be a decent atmosphere

Doesn't surprise me it's not sold out. Oasis haven't been popular here since Be Here Now. I'd be interested in knowing how many tickets have been sold. An arena seems to be too large for him over here.

Yeah they played the Big Day Out in Auckland, which sadly I missed!
Headed up to Spark from Wellington though ... definitely reckon it will be a decent enough crowd.

Don’t even get me started on this.
I’m still absolutely raging about whoever decided to book Liam at the Enmore one of the smallest venues in Sydney. I’m so pissed off and so many other people have missed out because of it - he could’ve played somewhere even bigger than the Hordern and it would’ve sold out...ridiculous

What about Fairgrounds? Class line up for a smaller festival really

Everyone in New Zealand might have been burnt by attending the 1998 gigs in Auxkland and Wellington because by all Accounts they weren’t great And a lot Of people might still See Liam as the 1998 version and not the one we know in 2019. It’s quite annoying that that image of Liam ( and oasis ) is carried around by the general public Today but I think the crowd Will be fine at spark Arena. Coupled that with the “ disastrous 1998” tour and the fact oasis never made it back to New Zealand and it’s a real Shame they don’t get the credit here .

They were massive 96-98. I remember them being everywhere. Only know a few other people who are into them now. The crowd was pretty lackluster when I saw BE in Auck. Hope Liam has a more up for it crowd.

Yeah and Beady Eye was a festival as well, they were a pretty late replacement for Blur, so I wouldn’t read much into his popularity from that.

Whereas I'd have gone if it was Beady Eye from the start! haha.
Although I'd barely listened to BE at the time, it was only when they broke up I really got into it and enjoyed it after not being much of a fan of DGSS, so maybe I'm just thinking that in hindsight.

I guess with oasis not Coming to New Zealand between 1998 - 2009 was really disappointing even though I had the chance and Didn’t go to Australia to see oasis in 2005-06
It was disappointing because to casual New Zealand music fans the 1998 shows were Liam and Noel Literally had a fight on stage ? Auckland and Wellington - those concerts were ingrained in the psyche and as I’ve said people think liam is still like 1995 Liam .
I suppose it annoys me that Oasis isn’t spoken about in the same breath as such big bands as u2 or acts like Springsteen in New Zealand . I mean I don’t mind that entirely as then it’s more special to me - but I get the feeling if they had managed to make it over here a few more times then it would be a different story
I think rumour has it Oasis we’re gonna play big day out in the 90s
and oasis could of easily played a stadium here -especially in their hey day . Are you guys confused as to why oasis played
Carter holt Pavalion ? Logan Campbell centre is a 4000 k venue if that . The be here now tour venues in general around the world Were very weird . Maybe Noel Just didn’t wanna do the whole stadium thing .

It’s strange how they never really played stadiums in the world maybe they wanted to keep tickets costs down etc?? They’d play like 6 show in one country in areas why not just play a stadium?? South America , Asia , mainland Europe even the states they could’ve plated smaller ones

There weren’t really any 12-15,000 capacity venues in Auckland back then, were there? If you look back at setlist.fm at who played Logan Campbell back in the day, it’s a who’s who of rock legends. I went there a year or two ago for Queens of the Stone Age ... definitely felt like traveling back to the 80s being in there!
