Dig Rattling Rose and the music on Evil Flower, but his voice in this new style just seems really flat and unaffected. Can’t get into it.

I like both, but I went for EP2 because A Dream Is All I Need To Get By makes all the difference for me

I voted EP2. This is the Place has really grown on me after seeing it performed in concert. A Dream is All I Need is better than Rattling Rose, which is good but but has a much weaker melody. I enjoy the third b-side, Evil Flower, as a cool, mostly instrumental experiment for Noel, though not a fully developed song. EP1’s third b-side, Sail On, is pleasant but very forgettable for me.

So comparing it in order would be something like...
Black Star Dancing vs This Is The Place (lead track): Definitely TITP by a mile. Great electronic track.
Rattling Rose vs A Dream Is All I Need To Get By (second released song): I adore Rattling Rose, the best one of the first EP for me. But ADIAINTGB has the magic touch Noel has. Probably the best song from both EPs. So ADIAINTGB wins.
Sail On vs Evil Flower (closing track for the EP and first listen on release day): No need to say that Sail On wins.
BSD EP 1 TITP EP 2
Winner EP2

I like Dream the most of all six songs, and Evil Flower the least. On average the two are very close but Dream is just the standout track.

So comparing it in order.... No no no no no!!!!! Most nonsensical way to compare albums. I’ve raged about this concept from when I first joined this forum in 2005. Ughhhhhhh. Sorry. Lol

Lol Naaaah with albums is absolutely impossible. I remember that Oasis vs Radiohead thread where the albums where compared in order. These EPs are kinda following the same path. Track 1 single and title track, track 2 released two weeks before official release and track 3 unheard song.

Seems to be a draw, for me. Both have two good songs and the remixes are just filler.

Both have great tunes, but evil flower blows. ADIAINTGB is song of the year though.

Whichever one Sail On is on. It's the only good song among them IMO...
