So it appears we've got a Sept. 13 cinema date for the film, but of course no details on where the heck it's actually playing.
Has anyone seen any confirmed theaters that are showing the film?
FFS, being an American fan of the Gallaghers can be unnecessarily frustrating.

I expect it'll be one of those Fathom Events limited screenings and I'll have to drive to Philly or DC for it.

I saw somewhere that it will be showing in NYC and LA. I'm not sure if there will be a screening anywhere else. I guess I'll get to see it someday. I live in Maryland and no way will I drive to NYC just for that.

The promoters of the film in the US are screenmedia films - they’ve been in touch with me to help promote it and the dates are as follows (copied and pasted hence it’s the American way round!)
9/13 – opens theatrically in NY and LA 9/17 – available to buy on demand (iTunes, Amazon, all major digital and cable providers) 10/8 – available to buy and rent on demand (same platforms as above) 10/15 – available on DVD and Blu-ray

For people in NYC, it looks like "As It Was" will be screening at 11AM and 11PM at the Village East Cinema starting 9/13!

But I do acknowledge it's basically an extended EPK for Liam

As It Was is a good doc to watch. I have nothing against Charlie Lightning, but you can't compare his job to what Matt Whitecross has done for Supersonic.

I enjoyed it better than Supersonic because I already knew that story...
As it was is more humbling and has more heart, a star coming back from the dead and I also love that there is no oasis songs in it.

it's a very good documentary - even if feeling a little dated for us fans at this point...with the last album cycle and all that. but really well-made docu and i think captured the spirit of the man.

So, it's magically showing in Columbus, Ohio too (yay for me!)
But I called the theater, because it's not listed on their website as showing on Sunday like Charlie's Instagram post indicated. They said they literally have the film but there's still some sort of negotiation going on or something to that effect and that they probably won't be showing it Sunday but "sometime this week."
Seriously, could this get any more effed up? I mean, yay for eventually, but Let. Me. See. This. Movie. Plz.

A review in Variety.
My favorite: "For Liam and Noel both, doing freewheeling interviews might actually be their greatest art form, even more than singing or songwriting, their respective day jobs. There are few greater nervous pleasures than listening to these two slag each other off. "

It's not viewing in Europe yet either. My friend in Manchester bought me the DVD, but would love to watch it on a big screen as I did for Supersonic.
