I have listened to it a lot now. It is very catchy, and I love the last minute.
I'm still not keen on the vocals though - it just sounds over-processed to me. I wonder when it was recorded as the other 3 songs sound powerful and natural in comparison.

Probably Autumn 2018 in LA and had some tidying up in London in Spring this year.

Sounds like Ian Brown solo stuff style. I really like it, 8/10

It’s okay. The worst of the bunch so far. 5/10 but that groove makes it a 6/10.

Love this tune.
Fresh, modern, lovely production.
Listening for the first time that falsetto ending blew me away - unexpected in a LG tune.
Once 9/10 One Of Us 8/10
The River 7/10 Shockwave 7/10

It has a nice groove, like an Ian Brown tune. This is definitely a direction to keep exploring. As noticed already, vocals are overproduced.

I clicked 7 on first listen.
Now I kinda wanna go 8. Maybe even 9, the instrumental is phenomenal when you hear it on a decent system. I could listen to Liam’s aaaaayaaaay layered over the strings for hours.
But then I wanna go back to 7 cos they took away some of the depth in production (I understand why).
Still undecided on my score right now tbh - I’ll go with 8 until I hear the live version.
Who are these people giving it a 3? C’mon...really?

I gave a 3. The production is horrible and makes the song unlistenable for me. Liam's voice is so pitch-corrected/auto-tuned/whatever that it hurts my ears. This thing is 100% pop and I'm just not into pop music.

Or at least very informed with it. Maybe hearing it live will change your mind?

Maybe hearing it live will change your mind? Totally! A good live version could easily reach 7 or 8. I hope they don't ruin the MTV Unplugged during post production.

8/10 for me. Melodic, groovy, modern, and even imaginative! Best song from the album so far.

Still 6.
Pretty little song but it's filler for me.

I actually wish they'd made Liam's voice bigger even. If you're gonna process the arse off it, why not have it completely in your face?? Tbf Liam's voice has always had big production on it (except on BE where they tried making it more 'raw' and a lot of people seem to dislike his voice on that record...)

Exactly my gripe with the song, it would be a lot better if it had similar vocal production to the other singles.

It's... good. Almost great, but it settles as a good tune for me.
As long as it's fresh air from Liam, I can't help but think it's another Why Me? Why Not. tune they got wrong structure-wise. You've got some of the nicest verses and choruses on his entire solo career so far and you just... rush them? Why? The outro is great as well, maybe my favourite part on the song, but I just can't believe they didn't end it with a final chorus/verse-chorus.
In my ideal word, thinking this is supposed to be a pop-rock single in 2019, it'd have gone:
Verse Chorus Verse Chorus OUTRO. not that 5s instrumental bit. the entire thing. ... Verse Chorus. End.
Anyway. As some here have pointed out the vocal isn't as prominent as it should be and its mixing is... weird. Again, some questionable production choices. Really curious to see how they'll do this live. For now, it's a 7.

I actually really like this track, but I don’t think it will have the same effect on the general public as FWIW will (comparing it as the 2nd official single from both albums).
