Wonderwall was released on the Spotify Sessions so why wouldn't the Oasis songs here be released?

There were many tv/radio/online broadcasts with oasis songs since liams solo career. For example Glastonbury I NEED A SOUNDBOARD VERSION OF STAND BY ME !!

I was expecting an MTV unplugged like those in the 90s...sitting n performing.. Without hearing the crowd singing... Just music n Liam's voice... In the style of beady eye performing BE in abbey road or his recent piano performance.. That s what I want from Liam.. A special timeless n official performance to catch the brilliance of his voice n rising..
Anyway.. Every comment about his MTV Unplugged perf was super positive...i m so glad about it

Hope Sad Song makes it to an official release. Sounded fucking great even if he did fluff the ending. Bellboy How did he fluff the ending? He didn't do "at the end of the dayyy" at the end is all. Otherwise fucking unbelievable!

I'm expecting the MTV broadcast to be edited unfortunately. Not sure what songs will not be aired tho. Hope they include Sad Song and Stand By Me.

I'm not sure, but I believe MTV Australia broadcasted the DMA's Unplugged in its entirety, 14 songs. The gig was officialy released a few weeks ago.

So if the MTV broadcast is often less than an hour and Noel forbids the Oasis songs on an official release - is there no chance of getting the whole show as a pro shot? That would be a shame - same as with the Union Chapel gig last December. This are rare gigs that need a proper release! I don't think noel can forbid them to show the Oasis songs, it's a gig i'm speaking of an official physical release on vinyl or cd - Noel can ban Oasis songs from that form of release - he can't forbid MTV to show the full show with Oasis songs on tv Noel can only block a Bluray or DVD release but CANNOT block any audio releases, so worst case scenario we can get the complete gig on CD/Download and only LG tunes on a DVD release if there is one.
Don't know how it works for TV rights, though. Those are murkier waters

can't see tv broadcast being a problem. You would assume that MTV would be on top of that. Plus they weren't stopped from broadcasting Glastonbury on BBC.

Agreed, but didn't Noel have to give his OK for Beady Eye to do Wonderwall at the Olympics? I know the laws are cut and dry with audio and home video releases but TV can be dicier.

Dragged meself away from Internetland, was spending far too much time staring at me phone. good to have you back mate,,did you get tickets for LG in november I haven’t, no. I watched Glasto and felt it was much the same as 2017 - with added aggression. It was like a breath of fresh air having him back in 2017. I think his talk about having a break after this album is smart, let everyone get the hunger back.

Bit late to the party - only listening to the Sad Song recording now.
It's beautiful. And genuinely makes me wish these two would stop being dickheads in their own special ways, regardless of who's being worse or more of a **** right now.

Im on the oasis subreddit alot and it's pretty in favour of Liam most of the time excluding some of the more nasty drama.

They both own those songs, simple as that.

Liam was as important as Noel for Oasis and he was the one who brought out the magic in most of the Oasis songs with his classic Rock'n'n Roll voice - let's not forget about that. And it's also not a money thing I believe - I mean how many houses do you need when you 50+ anyway? So stop acting like a dickhead and let Liam do what he wants with the Oasis material. Try to act like the smarter older brother that you should be and let the fans enjoy Liams acoustic Oasis performances on a proper Blu-ray/DVD release forever. Thanks

I've said it before but Liam is the reason I became an Oasis fan. If it hadn't been for WOG, I'd never paid any attention to Oasis as I always considered them Beatle ripoff's (unfairly, I might add).
Noel is a tremendous writer but his vocals do nothing for me (bit beige) which is why I avoid his solo work save for a few tunes off WBTM.
