The guy is fucking useless. I wanted to like him, but I couldn’t. Hope he works out for you!! It would have helped if Emery used him in his right position. Him and Smalling are great signings for Roma. Hope Paulo Fonseca succeeds there, leron .

He did fail at Porto in our league, but i feel he was promoted a bit too soon, and the Porto squad he had was their worst in this decade by a considerable margin. Still, he then went back to Paços de Ferreira (where, previously, he managed to finish 3rd in our league with them), and then to Braga, where he won the Domestic Cup before heading off to Ukraine. I feel this is his biggest test since he went to Porto, in terms of pressure and exposure. Let's see if he handles this. Watched the game against Genoa. Very good offensively but seems a bit shakey yet defensively.

I think Ozil leaves in the summer, Ceballos becomes permanent - like a new signing And Saliba - like a new signing
Which means we should be able to buy a couple more big names for next season. Brilliant planning.

Brilliant planning. Interested in seeing how Tierney does, pray that he gets over his injury issues. Top four would be good - this year is all about laying down proper foundations. Good transfer window and some decent up and coming youth players too. I don’t think Emery will be the guy to get them the major trophies but I see him as a perfect transition manager, one who lays the foundations for the next big name coach. Whoever that will be I don’t know but I wouldn’t be surprised if they poached a young managerial talent like Nagelsmann somewhere down the line who takes the project further beyond to real success.

Brilliant planning. Unfortunately, as much as I like him to stay, Ceballos will return to Madrid. He is determined to make it there.

Outplayed and outclassed in every single department. We got absolutely battered. Pathetic.
2 points dropped? I’m not too sure. We didn’t even deserve a draw! No idea wtf I just watched.

WE WANT OUR ARSENE BACK, WE WANT OUR ARSENE BACK..... Tactically, he dropped the ball massively against Liverpool and yesterday at Watford. How much space does Emery afford to opposition teams out wide? At Liverpool, Robertson and Alexander Arnold murdered them because, well, there was literally nobody for them to play against. At Watford, we’re seeing the same - no care in the world out wide and them starting attacks out there all the time. Really poor all round, it wasn’t just mediocre but actually awful. Good coach for individual players but tactics for the team as a whole? Not sure.

I mean this genuinely: Perhaps what happened at Watford is a big lesson for this team. Hearing the players come out and speak makes this even more significant. It’s like when Chelsea got tonked 3-0 by us, that defeat changed their whole season (2016/17).
It’s for the players to prove this post correct. Let’s hope that they do.

I hope you guys know What you are up against tonight. Frankfurt is incredible at home. Would be cool if you put up a fight because Dortmund plays Them on sunday.

Arsenal 3-2 Aston Villa
I love these type of matches! Guendouzi really drove us on in the second half - hard to believe he’s only 20. What a match, though - it had everything.

Hopefully like all recent Arsenal captains, Xhaka will end up benched like Vermaelen, Arteta, and Mertesacker before him. Disgusting choice.

Emery’s complete mismanagement of Özil is another black mark on an insipid managerial career with us. Not good enough.
Özil isn’t without fault, but he and everyone involved deserve better. I’m not yet convinced by Cebellos.

I’m not convinced by Cebellos yet. Think the fan base has him overrated. I don’t think it’s his fault, though. The team isn’t paying well so he’s not the problem but is part of it.
Cebellos reminds me of Ramsey-lite. He’s not an Özil replacement, though.

Yeah, you see a similar kind of player in James which has been working for the past 3 years in being more helpfull in defense while Ozil has kept going doing his thing, while great it's not good to have a luxury player not collaborating in defense more. The football game has changed and now the old #10 player needs to adapt into a more box to box kind of player. And Ozil doesnt has the energy to be that kind of player, or just dont want to adapt. A shame cause he was deadly in that great counterattacking Madrid while feeding Benzema and Ronaldo.
