How dare Noel react after ten years of literally daily insults every time the other bloke opens his mouth, introduces a song, or picks up his phone!? What a bitter old man! It's getting boring now! Noel needs to let it drop! I mean, Noel spent almost the entirety of Oasis insulting Liam, too. It's hardly a one or the other thing with them. The new Noel Gallagher history book started in 2009 don't you know.

I thought it started with that fucking press conference he held in 2011. Man, I still can’t believe he did that. He literally put himself on a stage before a load of hacks and lied his arse off at them, effectively telling them ‘Off you go, then’. Noel at his megalomaniacal worst.

“ I’m looking at the setlist going, [exhales] “At least I wrote them all.” “ ... I was under the impression that John Lennon wrote All You Need Is Love, but Ok😉

Say what you want at least swift writes her own tunes lol why lol? has she not? According to her songwriting credits, Taylor Swift has written or co-written every original song she has released. in fact her album Speak Now is entirely her own songs. now i dont own any of her albums but thats facts. please explain your laughing out loud.

Interesting details about the EPs... it looks like they'll be quite varied. I hope the one that sounds like The Smiths isn't a blatant rip-off I don't care about the rest... the situation between the brothers is downright pathetic. The past weeks have been the absolute worst since I've been an Oasis fan. I'm pretty tired of that shit, I'll let the music speak from now on.

At this point Paul is quite genuinely my favourite Gallagher brother.

Noels slagging of Capaldi is just ridiculous now. Coming across as nasty and dick like and not funny at all. Capaldi is being funny at least.

How can he get away with calling his wife's home country third world? because she's not an idiot and understands he's joking.

I remember when Noel's interviews were interesting and humourous.
Now it's all 'fuck this guy', 'that guy is a c*nt', 'the youth of today are moronic c*nts', 'music today sucks except for mine' etc.
For a guy that wants us to believe that he's doing really well now he seems to be quite miserable on the inside.

Not that Noel needs to capture new audiences any more, but the young adults love Capaldi and a lot of them think Noel is a vagina.
Admittedly this is based on Twitter.

He's kind of right here though. His new stuff really isn't that different to what came before in some sense. It was hinted at. "Well, good. When I do tracks that are vaguely — you can put this in inverted commas — vaguely dance-orientated, if they’re using it as a criticism, they choose to forget (Oasis songs) “F—in’ in the Bushes” or “Go Let It Out” or (early Gallagher solo tracks) “What a Life!” or “Battle of the Mighty I.” All of these things have been derived from some kind of dance music. But I get my opinion from the crowd when I play every night, and people love it. If I was to go on an Oasis fan site, it’d be a different story. But I’m not trying to still dress like a 19-year-old, metaphorically speaking. I have moved on, and it doesn’t matter if people don’t like it, because I don’t give a f—. I like it; in fact I love it. That’s all that matters." It's different to me because his new dance tunes lack a good melody. Ballad of the Mighty I, What a Life and Go Let it Out have good melodies. Holy Mountain sounds really good compared to BSD. I dont mind the dance themed songs if they have a good hook.

He's slowly becoming the guy he hated in the 90s. A bitter old man. At least Liam is only bitter about Noel. Noel is bitter about everything.

So much negativity in that interview, indiscriminate slagging of today's music, artists & the youth's mentality. His previous interviews were laden with boring celebrities namedropping & stale Bono anecdotes, but at least he didn't sound bitter.
The way he lays into Capaldi is out-of-place overkill, especially when he comments on Anais' quote that she'd like to be like Lewis Capaldi when she grows up, Noel pointing out disparagingly that Capaldi is ugly, fat & comes from a shit country.
Calling Braun & Swift "American idiots" is also mean when he was actually asked about artists wanting to own their songs, it's not a concern limited to American spoilt brats.
& when he finally says he's so bored with Oasis songs that the only relief for him when he has to play them live is to think "At least I wrote them all": you've just said you don't give a fuck about what Oasis fans or the general public want when you're recording new music & don't care if people like & buy it, so just do the same at your gigs instead of whining, play only the songs you like, ditch the Oasis songs if they're such a chore, & if the venues are half-empty you shouldn't give a fuck as well... Or maybe it is that you need the money &, like it or not, it's the old stuff that pulls people & pays the bills?
I don't care what he says about Liam, to me it's all fair play as Liam has been insulting him for years. Of course he's seen "As it was", & of course he'll never admit it, that's not a surprise.
The only positive thing about this interview is that we got more info about the forthcoming EPs; what I think is we'll maybe get the title track of the second EP in time for him to play it live at the Smashing Pumpkins tour in August, & we'll have the rest of the songs by the end of September/early October.
