The past year has consistently been just ok on a personal level, nothing awful has happened but nothing spectacular either. Spending a lot of time alone during lockdown has actually been surprisingly refreshing.

2019 was so awful to the point that I can't even read my notebook from that time back now without feeling sick to my stomach. By the end of it it was looking like 2020 was going to be really good for me though. And even when things fell through, it wasn't like a huge loss. Getting through this pandemic like this last administration by not consuming too much of the news, focusing on other things, remembering there's only so much you can change/do.

I'm on a downward trend since 2015, special shout out to 2018 which can go fuck itself into oblivion and since then the slope has gotten steeper and now we're in a pandemic.
"Some might say we will find a brigthter day". Fingers crossed there is some truth in this.

the hardest shit i've ever experienced has been within the last fuckin month, and i can also look back with nostalgia and say i've been in better places in general (i miss my cabin in the middle of nowhere)... but overall, yeah, actually, i think i am at my best. i wouldn't want to go back to be who i was before.

Best year of the last 30 years? 1997 easily.
Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s Double Winning Season, Michael Owen, N64, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye 64, Keenan & Kel, Titanic, Men in Black, Tamogotchis, Cool Britannia, Britpop, Oasis, Be Here Now, Robbie William’s Angels, Brimful of Asha, Spice Girls, Barbie Girl, Teletubbies, Harry Potter, Dolly the Sheep, Tony Blair, Prosperity, Low Unemployment, World Peace.
Childhood.
What a time to have been alive.

Childhood. What a time to have been alive. I gotta agree. And I might even add the first Tomb Raider release. I wasn't really interested in Oasis or proper music or girls for that matter, I was 14, that only came a year later. But I'll always remember that year big time for Dortmund winning the Champions League final against Juventus and Schalke winning the late UEFA cup. Ha, those were the days. Then again, nostalgia isn't what it used to be
