I create the annual Arsenal threads because there were a lot of us Gooners on here. Now it's just me (and the occasional irrelevant nonsense from Let It Bleed).

Now what happens should West Ham fluke a win next weekend? Emery is worse than Moyes. Tired of this shit. Since this post Arsenal have won every game.

After losing their first two matches of the season, Arsenal are now unbeaten in their last 17 matches in all competitions. #EmeryRevolution.

Let’s be very clear: So far, the summer buys from Emery and our new setup look excellent.
Leno: Proving to be a beast already. Sokratis: Incredibly competent. No nonsense CB. Guendouzi: Love his energy! Torreira: Reminds me a bit of Cazorla. Lichtsteiner: Solid squad player and RB cover.
All 5 have really improved us as a team so far this season.

So much riding on Sunday’s match - a win over Spurs would make the table look tasty, whereas a loss would make top 4 very difficult to claw back.
A draw would be fine as long as we beat Man Utd in the following match in midweek.

Man Utd 2-2 Arsenal
Draw was a fair result. 20 unbeaten in all competitions.
4 points from Spurs/Utd is good in my book. Too bad our defense was shocking all match long.

Curious stat comparison:
In 2017/18, after 16 matches we were in 5th with 29 points. And already 17 points behind first (Christ!).
In 2018/19, after 16 matches, we are in 5th with 34 points. And 8 points behind first.
So only 5 points better off at the same stage of the season as last year, but we are keeping up with the rest of the 'Top 6' sides. Make of this what you will.
Arsenal are currently 22 matches unbeaten in all competitions.

youd probably have more activity in this thread, if people could take what you say seriously...instead of just waiting 3 hours for you to jump the fence.
EDIT: on paper, this is the weakest gunners squad (vs SOU) ive seen in years...but they get the results so it dont matter.

EDIT: on paper, this is the weakest gunners squad (vs SOU) ive seen in years...but they get the results so it dont matter. Injuries and suspensions gave Emery very little choice (Holding injured, Mustafi & Sokratis suspended, and Kosielny not match fit despite making a return), although he did fuck up the starting 11. Emery tried to be too clever with staying with a back 3 even though we didn't have the players available for that formation - both Stephan and Xhaka are not CBs. And I don't agree with Ozil not starting - Ozil is not the type of player you can bring on in these types of games, he doesn't get stuck in whatsoever. Overall, I'm not angry, I'm just very, very disappointed.

Ozil is the kind of player you better sell to Italy

This game has a nice edge to it. Nice to see we are beginning to be a team that gets stuck in again after a decade of pansies under Wenger.

IF we win our next match, we will be at 40 points for the half way point of the season, meaning we are on target for 80 points which would be a PHENOMENAL return.
