It’s like he’s speaking in press releases!

Well, truth be told, they are acting as distributors. That is what distributors do, and typically it works like that with indie labels. For instance, in some european countries the record is being distributed by Pias records. It hardly has anything to do with a major Record label having any kind of control over the creative process, pproducers in charge or maximum time interval between albums which may happen when artists are signed to majors. So yes, technically speaking Noel is still an independent artist releasing his own records and controlling that process and outsoursing it for distribution.

People here like to bring the argument that Noel can't have the same amount of promotion as he is not on a major label. Seems he can. I just think Noel deliberately chose a more quiet approach to PR this time.

That could well be the case, but I don't think we have enough data to assume he can have the same amount of promotion.
For instance, is the level of effort the same for artists they distribute and artists that are signed to them? Can Ignition guarantee all distributors will do the same effort, is it easier or not when it is a single major company distributing everywhere?
For instance, last weekend I went to FNAC to collect a book I had ordered, and noticed that every artist with a recent album signed to Sony had their albums displayed at eyesight level, but not those that they merely distribute. I found it funny at the time.
Actually lacking access to promotion os something indie artists complain about, but obviously, NG is hardly the typical independent artist.

Is Dan Chalmers in love with Noel? What a load of ass kissing that article was. Isn't that what happens in almost all articles about Noel The Media Darling? Kiss kiss mwah mwah.
