She Taught Me How to Fly is one of my all time favorite Gallagher songs and it is a song that seems could be remixed to make it even dancier. However this remixes is the worst Gallagher related track I have ever heard. It removes everything good about the song. It is absolutely terrible. It blows my mind how this can be so bad and the remix of The Mexican (one of my least favorite Gallagher tracks) can be so much better. Awful. I rather liked this remix. A lot actually.

It's got a really nice Paul McCartney late 1970s/early 1980s era vibe to it. Really enjoying it - in fact I like it better than the album version!

Maybe I will have to listen to it not on my phone. I had the same reaction to Andrew Was remix of in the heat of the moment but I ended up liking it

I like it a lot too. It sounds like late '70s-early '80s electronica to me. Giorgio Moroder anyone... mossy?

So it's on spotify today... with no b-side... joke! Even though I know it is a crappy remix would still liked to have had it on spotify.

Even though I did buy the picture disc, the lack of a b-side has caused me to totally pass this single by, which is a great shame because I genuinely do love the track.
My mind is now on the next single which I'm assuming will be TBWBTM as the artwork is already done, probably in August. If we don't get a new b-side on that one I think we can safely assume that worthwhile NG b-sides are officially done and dusted.

Well, Noel said that he didn't make another songs for this album, so he doesn't have any extra material. That's why the b-sides of this album are Dead in the Water, God Help Us All and a remix so far.

Is there a rule that states that b-sides HAVE to come from that albums recording sessions? I think not. Let's not kid ourselves, if Noel really wanted to give us new material he very easily could. Even a quick acoustic run through of something half decent he's had hanging around for a while would be something.

Noel did those songs in the studio (which are in Who Built the Moon? Not including Dead in the Water), Noel did the songs for the album and he finished with that.

There at least 2 or 3 more songs from the Who Built The Moon? sessions. In the Discogs interview with David Holmes you can here an unreleased track and it’s been mentioned Johnny Marr played on one other which Holmes wanted on the album. Noel has also spoke of a song written and completed when Lou Reed passed away. He said in an interview it had a dark Heroine vibe and would be released as a b-side in future. And God Help Us All was recorded back in 2011. schorman checked the engineer who was used and it dates back to the first HFB sessions with Dave Sardy so there is no excuse for not using older material as a b-side.

Looks like all the tracks recorded with Holmes but not quite finished are being saved for their second album together. I can understand them not wanting to waste good songs on b-sides given how few copies singles sell these days. But it is galling hearing Noel go on about how many songs he’s written all the time. Release some of them then FFS! And don’t pad your albums out with instrumentals. Hopefully they have a head start on the next album at least. X

Just listened to the remix for the first time on vinyl and it's one of the best NGHFB remixes so far. It blows all "regular" cosmic pop tunes from the album away.
