Can't wait for tomorrow night!!! Should be a lot of fun. Great venue. Never experienced a bad time there.

I don't suppose there's much chance of Noel doing any autographs or anything before?

I don't suppose there's much chance of Noel doing any autographs or anything before? Perhaps. Extremely crowded tourist area. Prob wouldn’t be out side for long.

I have two tickets I won't be able to use if anyone still needs tickets in a decent section. Probably a long shot as it's not even sold out most likely but worth a shot. $40 each, front of the second mezzanine, no fees.

Everywhere else appears to be filling in but front and center where I am is still virtually empty though, hope it fills up in the next few minutes! Would be awkward to have most of those seats empty...must be where a lot of the VIP package seats were.

Good show, gents. The band was on point. There were some really magical moments, and many of them were unsuspecting. Unsolicited advice: accept Noel on his terms, and you’ll enjoy the show. Go expecting an Oasis gig and you’ll be sorely disappointed.

Also of note - the tour DJ is none other than Mr. Phil Smith! Walked by him and did a double-take.
Excellent set overall. Crowd reactions were as expected - Oasis > NGHFB > CY > WBTM. Though Dead In The Water, Holy Mountain, etc. did do very well.
I wasn't expecting to like Go Let It Out or All You Need Is Love very much, but quite enjoyed both. New songs were better live for me than on the record, particularly She Taught Me How To Fly.
Onward!

What was the Phil Smith DJ playlist prior to this gig (or any gig thus far on this USA tour)?

I've been wondering the same thing myself - I liked almost everything I heard and none of it sounded particularly familiar.

Well said Great show all the songs i wasn’t excited to hear were great live, I’ll still complain about no who built the moon or love is the law and any oasis song of the dozens we don’t get to hear but such is life.

Noel came on earlier than expected. Around 8:15 PM. I'm use to NYC shows beginning at 9 PM. He caught a ton of people off guard. Long security lines backed up beer sales and for some reason the bathrooms on the bottom (was this the special VIP exhibit area? ?) and middle levels were closed to guys. That forced every guy to trek up 3 flights to long ass lines to take a piss. This show was probably the most loose I've seen Noel in concert and that includes Oasis where he sometimes came off as stiff and very well mannered. All the new songs sounded fresh and upbeat. My highlights were Holy Mountain, Beautiful World, Careful What You Wish For and Dead In The Water. I'm glad he ditched a lot of the samey type songs that were bogging down past tours. Noel needed a face lift. Having that been said, it was a real treasure to see Noel play Dead In The Water mostly solo and acoustic. The crowd was mostly lifeless during the majority of the performance. Well reserved for sure but erupted during the biggie Oasis songs (Wonderwall, Half A World Away, Don't Look Back In Anger). A far cry from the up and down bouncing at Liam's gig at Terminal 5 this past November. Loads of fan energy at that show. If I Had A Gun got a bigger reaction out of the crowd then I ever imagined. To me that song has always been overrated and a tad boring. I like so many others better. I also wish Noel attempted If Love Is The Law. Fun tune. I didn't even really notice that he went about 8 songs before a single Oasis song was played. I'm glad he dumped Supernova. Much prefer the resurrection of Go Let It Out which sounded fantastic. Don't think I heard it since about 2001-2002. Miss when Noel was into cool music like The Beta Band or Mercury Rev. Why did you stop listening to modern music Noel? It will only serve you well!!! It was good to see Gem again in action. He really nailed all his solos and he seemed in great spirits. Guy deserves some breaks to go his way again. Always a great bandmate it seemed. Oasis. Beady Eye. High Flying Birds. It felt right to end the show with All You Need Is Love with all the recent chaos and violence in America yesterday. Never really heard anyone ever cover it live before at a show. Good times. I hope Noel returns again this summer or fall.

Go Let It Out really did fit the vibe and atmosphere of what Noel is brining for his tour in 2018. Blended extremely well. All band members active. He now has enough for an entire starting football club!
