We - Jim , mexico2418 , noelsoasis and myself - are trying to get donations in for the lot of items we recently purchased collectively, and we want your help. Details on all items in the lot can be seen in the post below this, but in short it includes unheard Gem 2007 demos, some unheard Oasis studio takes from Maison Rouge 1994 and a lot of radio and VHS stuff. The more donations we get, the faster we can move on to the next project of finding material.
So - please read through this FAQ, and ask if you have any questions. I will update this first post when material/link is available, and with status of donations.
Why should I donate? To help pay for the actual cost of buying this material. Noone is making money off this, and the time and effort spent transfering, sourcing, cleaning, uploading and sharing is something we all do for free.
Who are you, and why should I trust you? This lot and this donation is being organized by Jim (who used to run the legendary rkid003-blog), noelsoasis (Mark who runs SupernovaHeights forum and other projects), mexo2418 (Daniel from Mexico who runs WIS bootlegs, and know from various forums) and Joakim (runs OasisArchive, Cloudburst and other projects). Collectively we have given a lot to the community before, and hopefully we can continue to do so in the future. We have all been involved in official projects (such as the Supersonic film), and hopefully our name and reputation needs no further introduction.
How much should I donate? However much you want. £5, £10. More, less. All donations are welcome.
Will anyone be making money off this? No. All money goes towards paying down this lot (currently taking a toll on my Mastercard) and hosting. In the event that the full cost (£750, to be modest) is reached, the rest will be saved for our next buy.
So.. When will these be uploaded? All material will be online this coming weekend. Check this post for updates and more accurate info. We are all working very hard on transfering and making sure the links are working and that the material is cleaned up and in the best quality possible.
Will the downloads be open to everyone, or just people who donated? Anyone can download. Even if you did not donate. The people who donated will however receive e-mails of future uploads from other stuff we're transfering, and possibly other material we find. They will also be thanked in this thread and on OasisArchive.
Why should I donate if the material will be available anyway? Good question. If anything to ensure that this kind of material can (and will) be shared amongst fans in the future as well. All of this has a cost for someone, if the concept of fans getting together and buying these items work, the chance is better for it to be organized again in the future, so that we can all enjoy it. Also, take into account all of the other material the four of us have shared in the past (on rkid001-blog, SupernovaHeights and OasisArchive) and even if you don't feel this particular lot if worth; consider making a small donation to ensure we can continue. In the past I've shared demos, soundchecks and footage that I've previously bought personally without asking anything in return. Check oasisarchive.com for previous work.
Where did this lot come from? Stuff Noel threw away, that someone kept onto for a few years, before passing on to a friend, who in turn sold it to us. The stuff was in a rather rough condition, with some of the tapes needing cleaning before transfering.
What about the 1998 3-track demo tape said to be in this lot? Well, unfortunately the actual tape in the case did not match the index-card, or the brand/tape-length for that matter - so that tape is believed lost. Tracklisting: "Revolution Song" / "Full On" / "Make Believe". However, two out of three tracks on this are believed to be the demos circulating, so the only unheard demo would've likely been "Full On". If it's ever found, this will be shared/uploaded as well of course.

CD#1 - "Gem's demos 14-5-2007" 1. Standing On The Edge of The Noise 2. Mindfield Feel 3. The Roller 4. Ballroom Figured 5. In Our Bubble Tape description: CD-R of Gem's demos given to Noel Gallagher for possible inclusion on Oasis' next album (that would later turn out to be DOYS). Gem does vocals on all tracks. Great sound and production. None of the tracks made the final album, but it's been verified in interviews that Oasis at least ended up demoing 'The Roller' during the DGYSS sessions. Four out of the five tracks later saw the light of day as Beady Eye tracks. Mindfield Feel has not been available/heard before.

Tape#1 - "Oasis 7-6-1994" 1. Some Might Say (rough live Noel-sung demo) 2. Short Jam 3. Listen Up (rough instrumental demo) Tape description: The version of 'Some Might Say' on this tape formed the basis of the demo released on the Japanese CD single, however there are no overdubs and the vocals are different. Noel counts down the ending, and it has a great live feel to it. Great quality, just as a live version in studio. The 'Listen Up' demo is a beautiful instrumental run-through, highlighting how beautiful the melody is on this gem. Fades out. These demos were recorded at Maison Rouge on 7th June 1994. Check out this amazing interview by David Huggins at Oasis Recording Info for more details about this recording; www.oasis-recordinginfo.co.uk/?page_id=1645
TAPE#2 - "Oasis Gleneagles" 1. Bring It On Down 2. Digsy's Dinner Tape description: Two live tracks from Gleneagles, Scotland. The full gig is available on video and audio, so these are in there mainly as fillers.

Noel & Liam interview Tape description: A very early radio session with both Liam and Noel present. The tracks have been on bootlegs over the years, the full interview (albeit not uncirculating) is rarer.

TAPE#8-SIDE#A - "Noel On Capital 6th Nov 1995" 1. Interview 2. Wonderwall (acoustic) 3. Interview 4. Morning Glory (acoustic) 5. Interview Tape description: Noel acoustic session and interview by Dr.Fox.
TAPE#8-SIDE#B - "Chris Evans Show 6th Nov 1995" 1. Don't Look Back In Anger (acoustic) 2. Chris Evans report on Earls Court Tape description: The acoustic version I am guessing is from Simon Mayo Radio 1 Show from Oct 1995, but I haven't compared sources. The rest is Chris Evans being Chris Evans, with some reporting on Earls Court.
TAPE#9 - "Radio1 Bosnia 'Help!' album special" 1. Noel interview about recording 2. First airing of "Fade Away (Warchild version)" 3. Other interviews and tracks Tape description: A 60-minute BBC Radio1 documentary about the 'Help!' 1995 charity album, devoted to the War Child charity's aid efforts in war-stricken areas, such as Bosnia.
TAPE#10 - "Don't Look Back In Anger" 1. Don't Look Back In Anger (radio edit?) Tape description: Contains the studio version, but fades towards the end. I am pretty certain this is identical to the radio-edit from promo CDs, but haven't had the time to compare.
Tape#11 - "Wonderwall Dublin 1997 (RTE)" 1. Wonderwall (Noel electric) Tape description: Live FM/radio recording of Wonderwall from Dublin 1997. As most of you are aware; Liam only did the first of the three nights. I believe this is from the 5th December show, but I haven't checked the audio yet.
VHS#1 - "Oasis AVID OFFLINE 3/8/95" 1. Roll With It (promo video) Tape description: An offline edit of the Roll With It video. Not had the time to check for differences from the finished version, but normally avid offlines have different angles or unfinished effects.

VHS#4 - "Mad For It 20/12/96" 1. MTV Special Tape descritption: Promo VHS version of the MTV aired documentary from 1996.
We’ve wanted some rare material back in circulation guys so now is our chance to work together as a community again as we have done so for the very early Noel Tape, soundcheck recordings and the Comin’ On Strong/Lock All The Doors Tape.
This could open up to even more material in the future so if you can help out then please do so.
"I went backstage there was some player’s fucking Umbro gear just sitting there and I thought, ‘I’m having a bit of that’, tried it on, fucking freebie innit and, and I fucking pinched it and fucking wore it. Our kid should have put the ref’s gear on shouldn’t he, and we could’ve all sung “who’s that bastard in the black”.”
