Is there anyone Mou isn't fighting with this week? Pep, Conte, Noel, and I'm sure Wenger will come in for some abuse soon. Klopp will just stand off to the side laughing while plotting Jose's assassination.

Didn't Jose used to be funny, charismatic and charming in his early Chelsea days?
What happened...

Mourinho is the greatest manager in the world Chequebook manager. Give Conte, Klopp or Pochettino the funds he's blown at United and they'd be much closer to City.

Mourinho has declined since 2010 and Inter winning the Champions League. Now, there are quite a few managers above him. I can't deny he has done great things though, in term of results. (for instance what he did with Porto in 2004, with Chelsea the early year and with Inter in 2010)

Please don't tell me you're being serious. Look at the trophies he's won and then tell me he's not the greatest. He was good for a period, now his style of football has become so defensive and boring that it's laughable and the amount of money he's spent during his time at United hasn't really reflected in their performances or their league position. Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager ever IMO, to consistently win the amount trophies that he did every season for 25 years without spending a massive amount of money is pretty fucking amazing and that's coming from a City fan. Mourinho isn't the best manager around at the moment either as I think you've got to give that title to Guardiola.

(for instance what he did with Porto in 2004, with Chelsea the early year and with Inter in 2010) I agree with that, I'd probably say his achievement with Inter was his finest, considering it was in an era of Guardiola's Barca. It's just that these days he's out of fashion and out of sync with the modern tactics. While he is still a top manager, he's nowhere near the best now (as said, I'd rather have Guardiola, Conte, Klopp and Pochettino ahead of him), whereas back in 2004 you could say he was the best. Players have more dynamic roles these days (look at the full backs who are now expected to rampage up the field in attacks) and Mourinho's very disciplined and structured tactics prohibit this kind of creative freedom in a time when such an expressive style is the norm now by which to win things. While he is more flexible these days (e.g. Ashley Young at full back), he's certainly not innovative with it at all and pales into comparison with the more adventurous managers these days.

What you have to remember is that United is a really tough job since Fergie left. There's no quick fix. Guardiola has been given tons of money to spend, more than Jose to a side that was already well equipped to compete for the title. Jose has spent big money on a squad that was struggling to finish top 4 before he came in. They need to spend more to compete with City who have just blown everyone else out the water with their spending and the talent they have.

All of this is true but the best managers in the world find a way around problems like that instead of coming up with pathetic excuses and blaming the referee every time points are dropped. City have hardly "blown everyone else out the water with their spending" either, they've spent around £60 million more than united which in today's football isn't really a huge amount and added to the fact that United bought one of the most expensive players in the world last season shouldn't really give City a huge advantage. The problem isn't how much money Jose has been given, it's how it's being spent.
