They've really captured that Oasis 96 era live sound and spirit. Liam might have had more raw ability to work with in say 2000-2005 but he's singing in the same way he did at his peak again, these are probably my favourite vocals of his since I became a fan. He's absolutely smashing it right now

What strikes me the most in watching this is two-fold, first, the reaction to the solo songs here as apposed to Glastonbury last year and the age of the kids in the crowd that know every word. Liam in top form as well. The Ressurection indeed

They dropped the key of Some Might Say? Since what gig? Thought they played in in the original way.

Liam in top form as well. The Ressurection indeed I was disappointed most people in the front where I was didn't seem to recognise BIOD and Listen Up. Really young crowd though. And it was funny when Liam said "does anyone know what is a b-side? The next song is a b-side" and then played Whatever!!

Two things of note:
1) That crowd is young. I know it's a festival, but the amount of close ups on young people who were singing along was great. 2) That crowd wasn't all blokes! I haven't heard Wonderwall sung with so many female voices since those big 90s gigs.

Liam definitely has lots of young fans. I'm in my early 20s and almost felt old when I went to his own headline gig at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow last year. The amount of teens was insane, so many people who were probably between 12 and 18 years old.

Tickle my feet with the NME... www.nme.com/reviews/live/liam-gallagher-trnsmt-festival-glasgow"The second half of the set, meanwhile, is basically weaponised: the Liam-iest of Liam-sung Oasis classics (‘Listen Up’, ‘Slide Away’, ‘Some Might Say’, et al) delivered with a renewed snarl and purpose. It’s a welcome reminder that the man who actually wrote these songs was only 50% of the magic formula that made them so timeless: Liam has a valid claim of ownership, too, and by the time he’s done, he’s stomped his desert-booted mark all over them."

Loving the recording of last night. It's very cool to see Liam having his momentum this summer, these gigs seem to be the highlight of the As You Were era. Really nice for him to see all these young people going crazy over the new songs and the old Oasis classics. Who'd have thought this would happen after the rough Beady Eye years. Well done to him!

I can't believe the geezer played D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman.
Is there a pro-video of this? And if not can someone link me to the best quality video of it?

As I continue working through the TRSNMST gig, I'm going to say it again: His voice here is absolutely phenomenal. Like where the fuck did this come from? Best vocals and overall performance in 18 years easy.

This was an absolute bonus when it popped on my YouTube suggestions, I had no idea he was even playing. But what a fucking gig, if anything encapsulates his comeback it is this gig. The new generation, the sound mix, and above all Liam acting like a king and singing great. Jay still fucks up Cigs and Alcohol something rotten but then the crowd sing the riff for them anyway. Amazing.

just seen that as well. Apparently a good indicater of who'll be appearing at next year's Glastonbury too. Not really a surprise with a new album out pre summer. If the next album is any where near as good as LG is hinting and then he headlines Glastonbury solo, what an amazing two years that'll be for Liam. The Eavis family a big fans of Liam could def see it happening.
