Part of going to see Noel is the patter he has with the crowd, but people in the UK can give it back as much as they get - and they do.

The dodgy 'Dad on holiday shirt' came out last night, though.
Needs to ditch that.

Yeh, I’ve seen far too many comments on social media in the last 8-9 hours from people who are outraged and offended by Noel’s banter, mind they don’t seem to mention the Neanderthals in the crowd singing “get your t*ts out for the lads”, but then that would bring balance to it.
Simple fact is, Noel has this type of “banter” every city he plays, if you don’t like that or don’t get that then stick to watching Justin Bieber so the rest of us can enjoy watching the gig. Noel was superb last night, but the whingers have taken the shine off it for me.

What did Noel do? Take the shit out of fat topless geordies and Newcastle United?

What did Noel do? Take the shit out of fat topless geordies and Newcastle United? He called someone a “Geordie c*nt” and then a “speccy c*nt” and then told them to go and buy some of his merchandise and called them a “fat c*nt”. He asked what was happening in Newcastle and then replied to his own question “there’s f**k all happening in Newcastle”, he made a few comments about the football and think that was about it. Just the usual generic stuff Noel says at gigs, that’s just the type of stuff he just says, he likes to try and goad people for sh*ts and giggles, it’s always been that way. I just don’t get why people get offended and uptight about this sort of thing. He did also say Newcastle had been the best crowd of the tour - he probably says this every night - but it did seem quite genuine.

But for people who aren't mega fans and have just paid £40 for a night out they might be forgiven for thinking "What is this wanker on about?" And no it wouldn't be the same as that, a tiny proportion of people at that gig would have been people from Wembley and few would have disagreed it was shithole. That's why they knocked it down. I'm sure there are better examples if you insist on making a comparison with Liam though.

When he does talk, it's usually nonsense.

I watched a clip of Noel last night and it seemed like he was really straining to sing, and pulling away from the mic instead of singing high notes (I noticed this when I saw him in 2015 too). He needs to be careful or his voice will go the same way as Liam's...

Noely was fucking great last night, loved it. Atmosphere where I was standing was great too, bar the vaginas who were smoking next to me and the vaginas who started fighting and all the tall vaginas who were in front of me. As for slagging of the North East, he didn’t say anything too bad apart from calling everyone Geordie vaginas (as expected), slagged of the football team (who gives a fuck) and said we all wished we lived in Camden (dont fucking think so pal). As said above he said we were the best audience so far, which he might say to everyone, but he’s right

X My bad it was actually 8, finishes half 8 then Noel on at 9 I’d say it’s worth checking out just for how bizarre it is, it’s like weird avant grade spoken word shit with a falsetto??? But pub is always good choice.

I think Baxter Dury's album is great, but I could imagine him being almost uncomfortable live; I would go out of curiosity. Then again I don't think it'd translate well in an arena.

Thoughts from the Manchester gig last night (first time I've seen NG since the CY tour):
His band is tight as f*ck now. Musically as good as I've ever seen him. Like night and day from when I saw him in Manchester in 2012.
The WBTM tracks are bloody great live! FK, KOR, BW, ILITL and DITW all absolutely fantastic.
The CY tracks that he played also held up really well. Think he did Riverman, Heat of the Moment, BOTMI and The Right Stuff last night.
Does he HAVE to play all of Wonderwall, DLBIA and Little by Little? I know the casuals love them but how about She's Electric, Slide Away, Live Forever or Listen Up from the 90's vintage back catalogue?
Ending with All You Need Is Love and releasing those balloons......fucking hell.
8/10 - a top quality gig albeit with a couple of personal gripes.

Amazing night in Manchester.
Holy Mountain went fucking off. People up and dancing in the seats - something I have never seen at an NG gig before in the first couple of songs. I was stood around 20 yards back and the crowd around me were phenomenal.
IABW is just incredible live, and the musicianship of the band is ace. She Taught Me How To Fly was great as well.
I was honestly blown away. I can't understand the gripes. Yes, a few tweaks to the set piece would be nice, but overall, it was by far the best Noel gig I've been to.
Seriously considering trying to get to see him in the summer now . The bloke's a genius.
Take the Oasis context out of it now. He's an artist in his own right, backed by a brilliant back catalogue - which at times yes, he doesn't make the most of.
Has a conversation after with a bloke who said it can't compare to Oasis.
I couldn't care less. Oasis is dead and gone. Nearly 10 years ago. We love them, always will, but they aren't needed. If you want that type of atmosphere, go and support a band like DMA's or Blossoms that at least are trying, in their own ways. But until another British band comes from nowhere, then it'll never happen like it did then so stop wishing that both Liam and Noel will be something they aren't.
Yeh, Liam's doing great, but in terms of musicianship, writing, the ability on show - it doesn't come close to the High Flying Birds at the moment. Nowhere near.
