As much as id love to see some of the more obscure Oasis songs, this isnt going to be the time or place for them. Even Be Here Now isnt well known at all by festival crowds and the arena crowds will be packed with the casual wonderwall types. It just ends up with everyone around you stood there or barging past you to go for a piss.
My Big Mouth on the DOYS arena tour was treated like an unknown new song too. Even had one bloke say to his mate that it must be on the bonus tracks for DOYS cos hes never heard it.
Id just like to see some of the BHN songs and Morning Glory taken off (hes played them to death now) and just pack it full of your Supersonics, Champagne Supernovas etc and give us 5-10 huge sing alongs. Iy will be the perfect setlist alongside an album which most of the crowd should have familiarised themselves with by then.

Have to agree with liamgallagher1992 above. I would love Liam to bring out some hidden gems but I think it's best for this arena tour to just give us the classics, get the whole place bouncing from start to finish. I'd go with something like this: 1. Rock 'N' Roll Star 2. Morning Glory 3. Wall Of Glass 4. Greedy Soul 5. Cigarettes & Alcohol 6. Columbia 7. Bold 8. For What It's Worth 9. Slide Away 10. D'you Know What I Mean/Be Here Now 11. When I'm In Need 12. Some Might Say 13. I Get By 14. You Better Run 15. Champagne Supernova 16. Universal Gleam 17. Live Forever 18. Wonderwall Think that is a great balance between classics and new stuff. Would love to him chuck in Rockin' Chair and Listen Up at some point which I think he will. Think the Oasis songs that are in the set now will most likely survive bar a couple.

What about opening with bring it on down? I recon Columbia would be good too in that built up kinda way but would choose something faster to get everyone going nuts Bring It Own Down would be a massive opening song, they did it in 03 a few times.

Would I be right in thinking this was the only time Alan White played on this tune?

I think that's right - don't recall them playing it in mid-95 when he joined. There were about 8 gigs on that 2003 tour (mainly left over from when Liam got his teeth smashed in + two dates in Ireland), and they played it at every one of them (think they added maybe 3-4 different songs from the usual Heathen Chemistry tour - Supersonic, Songbird...and one more?)

I hope he brings back Paper Crown to the setlist, and that there will be a fair share of Oasis/BDI tunes in rotation, just to spice things up. Imagine going to one gig and seeing Liam sing Columbia for the first time in ages, and being among the lucky ones to see him perform Four Letter Word on the other. Or Shakermaker. Or Bring It On Down. Or even I Am The Walrus, because why the fuck not? It would be a right craic, y'knamean?

My sister went as well and isn't massively into Oasis but knows the hits etc and also has heard me blare enough out that she knew BHN (i've watched that GMEX gig so many times, like). But literally everyone else around us were acting like they'd never heard it. Bad melts.

Twice I've heard Liam say before Be Here Now "Any Oasis fans here" which there is a massive cheer and then he starts singing Be Here Now and the majority of the crowd stand their thinking he's playing a new song. I hope he always includes a few BHN tunes in his set though.
