I would probably put this tune on if I was ever to murder someone under the moonlight in Hong Kong.
Thanks.

Do I spy a Madonna reference in the first verse...?

David Holmes wrote 90% of it. In all honesty though, Noel is some songwriter, isn't he?

When was the last time I air-bassed to a Gallagher single?! Oh yeah, Fort Knox

I absolutely love that bassline especially the walk-down in the middle of the chorus. It's subtle but a nice little touch. The chorus' melody is a little bit beige for the want of a better word and a little awkward, I think it needed a bit more work. But the verses are brilliant.
The production isn't great, I feel like I'm repeating myself here but what the f#ck is Noel thinking mixing these tracks so badly? People can blame Holmes all they like but Noel has a habit of destroying the dynamics of a song in the studio. He obviously likes the sound of of a song being brick-walled to within an inch of it's life, which is a shame for any audiophile out there.
Thankfully this time, the song itself is good enough for me to get over it's issues, unlike Holy Mountain.

Did the tune leak or was it released? And where can I find it? I don’t have time to scroll through the pages. Cheers.

My favorite section is the ambient break between the peniultimate chorus and Charlotte's part.

Holmes really knows how to get things into your ear front and center. The doorbell in Fort Knox, the twinkles in It's a Beautiful World and the horns in Holy Mountain. I'm still not sure how I feel about it with headphones on. It's more of a different experience with speakers and headphones on this one I feel. Going to have to sit with the full album I think before making a full decision on it.

I'm totally loving this. Wow. So much better than the live version.
And those synthy bells during the chorus are gorgeous.

EXCELLENT production. Absolutely epic. Has about a minutes worth of fat that could be cut out (possibly with a pair of scissors) and it's lacking some organ in the middle 8.
In fact, the Jools Holland version of this is absolutely perfect.
8/10

My favorite section is the ambient break between the peniultimate chorus and Charlotte's part. Agree. That thick tremolo effect reminds me of a couple of Boards of Canada tunes. I'd listen to a 20 minutes loop of that stuff

I knew that would be so much better as a recording than live. AMAZING song, goose bumps when the first chorus kicked in.

Anyone actually agree with Noel on how different this song is to the rest? It’s really good but It could fit in nicely next to falling down or what a life. And any news on vinyl release?

Not bad. Love the verses, but the chorus seem uninspired.

Well, just listened the clyp 1 and 2 uploads. They're not in the best quality so I hope Spotify put it up at midnight. It has few more verses that he didn't play live, don't get why. The interlude after the french bit could've been soooo much better. The chorus is another fuck up,don't know why Holmes decided to put noise everywhere but well. Is not dissapointing overall,I'll just wait for a decent quality listen to judge. But I like it.
