I'd love him to drop 3 songs in a day, like Gorillaz did with their album.
Anyway, a single release is for sure, they already recorded a music video for Beautiful World, it seems.

It would be cool, but it does help with the power of music videos. The thing that benefits Gorillaz, along with acts like Beyonce, is that they offer a more immersive experience of the music than Noel or Liam ever do. A cartoon band is ripe for that kind of thing, along with the image that Beyonce projects as 'empowered woman' where the music accompanies very powerful videos. It would be cool, but Noel would have to do something conceptually amazing, maybe provocative or attention grabbing for there to be an awe-inspiring visual experience to accompany the music.

Stay cool people, we'll hear something soon enough.
And the album is out in less than 2 months, just be thankful we're not waiting half a year this time!!

I blame this man: Yet again Ignition have been shown up as the complete chancers that we know they are. Liam's gone from literally zero - totally off the media agenda - to selling out Arenas in minutes and widespread brilliant coverage and reviews. Fair enough he's got the angle of his solo work being something new and people are probably getting a bit bored of Noel but really the difference between these two campaigns is startling. Liam owes Debbie big time! Makes you wonder what Oasis could have achieved with better management - proper world domination on a U2 scale?

A geezer I know who's met Liam through his lad being an old pal of Debbie Gwyther's, said that Liam told him the money he was offered from Warner Bros. was pretty insane. He said some execs there showed him all these charts and things showing how there's x amount of young people talking about Oasis on social media and things - and Liam quipped something like "there's more kids that are Oasis fans now than in the 90s". So yeah, he's hardly "gone from zero". There's that huge untapped resource of people who were too young for Oasis, and then there's the opportunity to get back on board some of those millions and millions of people who went to Oasis gigs over the years, but who may have become disenfranchised with Oasis's later stuff/Beady Eye. The Escapist rounded off a point in some thread or other, the other day, by saying something along the lines of: "An awful lot of people like Liam Gallagher". I think that's true. And Warner knew it, and that's why they took him on.

It's been exactly a month since Noel teased 'Beautiful World'. Who'd have thought by the end of September we don't even know whether there's gonna be a single or not...
Anyway, I'm saving all my anticipation for Nov 24th. At least there's something to be heard that day. I can live with that.

But it could all have gone t*ts up for Liam if they'd handled it badly and Noel's promo could have been significantly better - perhaps he should have just dropped the whole album in one go?

And Warner knew it, and that's why they took him on. If that's true then whatever they said to Liam about how good his two songs were, the plan was probably always to sign him regardless and get some professional songwriters in. Big labels aren't stupid and if they've realised there was a big untapped market sitting there then that explains why they've went all out on the pr campaign.

If it's the next single mate, which supposedly it is, it'll be much longer than 2 weeks I'd have thought. Album out November 24th. Reckon the earliest we'll get another single is in 4 weeks from now - so the week of the 6th November.

If only that was real. It looks pretty good and is reminiscent, in some ways, of the Brian Cannon microdot work he did for the '90s Oasis albums and singles.
