With a good production, and maybe some strings, When I'm in need might be the best song on the album. Based on the clips from the pub.
Everyone I've talked to have really liked it. And none of them are Oasis fans.
Much better than For what it's worth.
What do you think?

"Much better than FWIW"
Hold your horses there buddy. Seems awfully premature to say considering you've only heard a poor quality recording of WIIN in acoustic and the first week chart results for FWIW don't come out until next week. For all you know FWIW may genuinely be one of the top 3 tracks on this album. How many times have we hyped up a Gallagher demo only to hear an underwhelming studio release?
I'm not a big believer in Liam bending over for non-Oasis fans. I say let him make some damn good rock songs for the massive fanbase he already has and hopefully win back a few old Oasis fans in the process. If someone doesn't like Oasis (which I think all of us can agree were fuckin' mega and featured Liam at his peak) why on Earth would they prefer Liam now? Going after them would be barking up the wrong tree. So frankly who cares what Oasis non-fans think?
I hope Liam gives us his best rocker next...whatever that might be. The ballads are solid but I got to be in the mood for them. I'm always ready to rock though. Bring the heat Liam!

The ballads are solid but I got to be in the mood for them. I'm always ready to rock though. Bring the heat Liam! I have never hyped anything. I genuinely think, based on the second (longer) video of WIIN, that it sounds like the best song on the album yet. It's a beautiful little tune. Liam should definitely not release a "rocker". Also, FWIW is not a particularly good song. Maybe it will reach some non-Oasis fans, but I think his single choices should be varied and cater to different audiences. Releasing WIIN as the 4th single fits perfectly into such a strategy. It sounds nothing like the rest of the songs.

Idk, I'm getting a little tired of Liam's 6/8 time signature songs...

It'd defo make sense to release a 'heavier' song next. More than anything just gotta hope it's as good/interesting as 1st three songs we've had. Think we've had a strong and wonderfully mixed batch so far.

What about 'I Get By'? I love it I like I get by too but I'm not sure it's single material tbh. I think greedy soul with the right production would be a better bet

Every song in this album could make it as a great single

Is there a slim chance that he releases a FOURTH single??
I though that was it until the full album comes out.

Is Come Back To Me the only standard version album track we've not heard anything of? If so, I'd expect that to be a single.

Just out of interest, when Definitely Maybe was released which songs on that album had never been played live or heard by fans.
Imagine fans discussing a poor quality recording of a song called Live Forever as a next single.
A different time, Ha.

Personally he should just release the album.
And drop lyric videos on You Tube for each track.

WOG Aug PC Sep FWIW Oct If that. I'd rather every week than every month. It's 2017 now, anything over a 6-week lead-in has to be extensively justified.

I think the release of this album has been terribly planned out. The hype has died down comparing to a couple months ago.
Chinatown should NOT of been released as a single. It's too laid back and slowed down the hype train. It's a good album track but that's about it.
Shoulda went: 'Wall Of Glass'.... 4 weeks later 'For What It's Worth' (with proper video)... 3-4 weeks later 'As You Were' album with the "live" versions from Air Studios for extra promo. 'For What It's Worth' would've done a lot better as a second single.

Agree with you though that the strategy wasn't the best. Album should've come out mid August or early Sept IMO.

It can be downloaded from iTunes and it has a video and artwork.
