Beuy, I'll tak a peedie swadge as me puggie is affie full o' wind. Something to do with being hungry or thirsty? (Just guessing, as I'm French.) Close but no cigar! Essentially, without reference to flatulence, its 'I'm full up from eating so I need to take a rest'.

OK, I thought "affie full o' wind" meant "awfully empty", thus needing to be filled. By the way is that Scottish, Welsh, Irish...?

Orcadian dialect - so Scots, but the cadence and rhythm is influenced by old Norse dialect from Orkney's Norwegian heritage.

From an hour ago...
Those strange words both mean tired, but because of the way I emaphasised mine, "powfagged" in this case means more tired than just regular jiggered.

"Fit fit fits fit fit?" is a perfectly acceptable sentence in Aberdeen.

Not necessarily a lot in the general language apart from maybe a handful of words, but some dialects, especially in the east and south do!

Not necessarily a lot in the general language apart from maybe a handful of words, but some dialects, especially in the east and south do! Intresting! And it's good to see that the "ö" is kept alive, us Scandinavians can't do the entire job ourselves (although the Norwegians and Danes insist on writing ø instead... a shame really!)
