In theory, yes. But i believe that in overtime its all about the offense, so everybody should at least get a shot. If you go down the field and score - fine. But then again make a stop on the other End to even it out. Just imagine how many commercials you could squeeze into overtime I like how soccer doesn't have commercials; but I like how American football has commercials for beer breaks...... Like I said, stop them, the Chiefs could've stopped the Patriots and won with a field goal..... Note: one time, in an overtime game between either the Broncos and Patriots, or the Colts and Patriots, i.e. Brady vs. Manning....Bill Belichick gave the ball to Manning in overtime, with the wind coming at him, knowing he couldn't pass the ball down the field; the Patriots got the ball back and won on a field goal, I think, maybe a touchdown...Bill Belichick's a genius. Thanks. Yes that is all true. Nobody believed what Bill was doing at the time. He dared Peyton Manning, one of the greatest QBs of all time, to get the ball first in OT and beat them. He didn’t. Nobody has balls like that. That was the year Peyton tossed a record 55 TD and 5,700 yards.

I have a Duke, an official NFL ball, and they're hard to throw into wind, which makes me really appreciate NFL quarterbacks with a great arm....I can throw a nerf ball a mile; NFL balls are designed to be hard to throw. God bless.

To argue that the OT rules in the NFL are fine is staring at the sun and saying it's not bright. There is no "good" argument in favor of the current rules. I don't have a dog in the fight from yesterday, but I can see peoples beef with the system as it is currently constructed. The Cheifs/Patriots game was fine though as far as I am concerned...
The team that got screwed yesterday was clearly the Saints. But that is a different issue all together.

It’s weird. I don’t remember the outcry when this happened to the Falcons two years ago.

It’s weird. I don’t remember the outcry when this happened to the Falcons two years ago. i thought that overtime rule was stupid when aaron rodgers threw that hail mary against arizona in the playoffs, then lost the coin flip and went out without ever seeing the ball again. wtf. fix this

I want some one to love me as much as Julían Edelman loves Tom Brady.....
At about 2:45 in this video, Julian Edelman obviously wants to kiss Tom Brady on the mouth....
Thanks.

The only team with more Super Bowl appearances than Tom Brady is the New England Patriots.
Thanks.

A dud so far. Or at least a game without any scoring. Crazy that Brady has 160.
That halftime show was “not for me, mate,” but holy smokes was that electric. I don’t care for his voice, nor his band’s bland music and so so songwriting, but Adam Levine is fearless. He’s probably a sociopath.

John Lennon always said the goal was to be big in America. Then The Beatles were big time. I think many many artists share this belief. For good or for bad. Tom Brady's certainly big in America.... God bless.

I know of Tom Brady and I've never ever watched NFL. I was actually thinking of watching the Superbowl this year and see what the hype was about but fell asleep before it started. From what I've heard it wasn't the best game for someone new watching.

Congrats!
What a Boring game, what an awful halftime show. Beyoncé should really do the halftime show every year.

That game was mostly unwatchable. Awful.
Congrats to the victors!
Did the NFL decide that the game needed to be played under 1970's rules or something? It felt like every single replay of an incomplete pass just showed us that the defender was raping the receiver the whole time... jersey tugging, arm grabbing, jumping thru the player, etc. Like it or not, there is a reason they changed the rules to favor offense... it makes the game more entertaining to watch. No one tuned in to watch TB12 look like a rookie QB for most of the game. I'm not saying it needs to be a 42-35 barn burner, but a total of 16 points?!?!
Dreadful.
-----
I also didn't find the halftime show to be worth it either.

I liked that it was defensive chess match, better than a BIG12 50 - 42 score for me....I can understand why most fans wouldn't like it, though. Like, most fans, I follow the ball during the game but try to see the whole field more.... I've really got into defensive strategy in recent years.....John Madden '92, the second Madden game ever is my favorite video game, and I would always pick a 4-3 defense or a 3-4 defense depending, 4-3 for run, 3-4 for pass downs, and always a blitz.....very rudimentary and novice approach, but, to be fair, it worked most times. There's so much nuance and strategy lost on the casual fan, including myself. God bless.
