Quite honestly, I like 5-6 songs much more on Morning Glory than Champagne Supernova. That's not to undermine the album, but prove just how great it is. Wonderwall, DLBIA, Some Might Say, Cast No Shadow, and ...? Morning Glory. Supernova in at number 6 then.

Logically it simply is Live Forever.
Even though it's not my favourite.

Champagne Supernova is imo their best song.
Some Might Say, Wonderwall, DLBIA, DYKWIM...all close to the top

Its my mom's favourite Oasis song so for that reason alone I just can't agree.

It's always in my top 5. ALWAYS. Just listened to a piano cover this afternoon on youtube, and it showed perfectly the pure beauty of the song.
Masterpiece.

Best Oasis song? Easy. Choose one track among: Some Might Say Champagne Supernova Live Forever D'You Know What I Mean? Slide Away Every answer is the correct answer. I'd add Don't Look Back In Anger in there as well. I think it's just about the most perfect pop song ever written. Euphoric and youthful, but with an undercurrent of melancholy about it - it's Noel at his magnificent best.

CS will never be up there with my absolute favourite Oasis tunes, but I do go through stages where I love it.

Maybe their best ever.

I don't know who it was who pointed out that you could read the line "I'll sing the blues if I want" as Noel talking about facing up to melancholy feelings, but it's an interesting interpretation. It's no wonder so many so-called professional music critics miss the point of Oasis - there was a subtle brilliance to Noel's writing in the 90s that would go unseen by someone who thought 'the point' was just big choruses and guitar licks.

The "why? why? why? whyyyyyyy?" bit before the massive guitar solo is absolutely brilliant and one of the best moments in any oasis song ever. It's also amazing live as well. I would say it's about number 6 in terms of my favourites.

Most of (maybe even all) Noel Gallagher best songs (even the most uplifting ones) are filled with melancholy. I don't know if you play piano, but if you do, you maybe already noticed how much melancholic songs like Supersonic or Some Might Say sound on it. Music critics are jokes 95% of the time nowadays. They judge the wrong things, and miss the big points. To sum up: they understand fuck all.

No way it's Little James.
Everyone can relate to the excited elatement of trying a trampoline for the first time and being in awe of the gravity defying physics of bouncing your body weight on a taught piece of rubber.

Champagne Supernova doesn't make my top 10. In fact, it would be lucky to crack even the top 15....

SOME MIGHT SAY
It's one of those ones where you can't quite imagine somebody writing it. Surely this song has always been there. What did people do without it?
