Here's a download link for the interview: DownloadThanks for the link. Never understood why Liam and Noel always say they don't like any current music. It's been going on for like 10-12 years. There is LOADS of great music and bands out there. Loads. I think I understood Beady Eye's musical issues after watching this interview, where Liam and Gem gleefully admit to not listening to anything current. "How many times do you need to buy 'My Generation' or 'All Along the Watchtower'? We've had them forever". I turned 13 in 1990, so it's likely grunge and britpop will forever be my favorite subgenres. But there's so much to love out there right now without needing to retreat into the past forever. Liam seems to have understood that, in that he accepted to work with people with an understanding of the present market, which is probably why Wall of Glass sounds Oasis-like but current, while something like "I'm Just Saying" sounds like a retread that would have been rejected early on in the Morning Glory sessions.

I think what he means is that there isn't any bands that stick out for him that are on a game changer level. That's his right and he's entitled to his own opinions. Imo I think DMA's are the most exciting band out there at the moment. Really looking forward to their new album I've never heard them but will check them out now. Listen to their debut album HILLS END

Seeing Kasabian say they were "here to save guitar music" with their new album because there is only them, arctic monkeys and libertines left made me cringe. It would be alot cooler if Liam said he was into an onscure shoegazing band like pains of being pure at heart. Okay now im just being silly

DMA's are great some instant tracks and some growers on hills end. Got tickets for their UK tour yesterday 💪
