First performance ever of While the Song... and first time that Riverman gets played in an acoustic setting. It was about time! What we need now is some good footage from this

Setlist: Everybody's on the run Supersonic While the song remains the same Listen up Riverman Half the world away Broken arrow Wonderwall What a life! Don't look back in anger Thanks to talktonight27 I'm personally fine with this setlist. Some fan favorites mixed in with a couple tracks he hasn't done. Now the question is, why did he do the gig? Charity? A warm-up?

So we get a premiere and a new arrangement (Riverman). That's a lot better than I expected.
I wonder if Riverman will be the "Bob Dylan-like" version he had before he gave it the Pinball treatment.

It this was for a deluxe version of a new album he would have played at least one new song right? Maybe for a DVD release for his last tour? Great to see While the Song Remains the Same in the setlist, I like that Supersonic is back again and EOTR sounds great. Don't like the acoustic version of AKA What a Life! (but better than the normal version)

Been looking up this "Once in a lifetime sessions" thing and it turns out it's a series of concerts organised by the studio itself. They've been inviting both emerging and high-profile artists for these gigs. Public Enemy played there 3 years ago and it got released as a video documentary and as a record.

First performance ever of While the Song... and first time that Riverman gets played in an acoustic setting. It was about time! What we need now is some good footage from this Trust Noel to get it right - AFTER the Chasing Yesterday tour! P.S. Did he play Listen Up much on the previous tour - that one sprang out from the setlist when I looked at it.

A fanstastic addition IMO.But this is the first he plays it only acoustic guitar and piano

Record Machine was a bit of a surprise encore. Anyway, While the song remains the same? That's great! Can't wait to hear that. Not a bad setlist either, though obviousy a lot of predictable stuff.

EOTR acoustic was only played twice before, so that's a nice addition too.
And we've never heard an acoustic&piano version of Listen Up.

The cameramen suggest that there probably will be a video, really want to hear WTSRTS, Broken Arrow and Listen Up on the acoustic.

The acoustic version of Broken Arrow was only played once before, at the Mastertapes session in 2014. It was a gorgeous, very mellow rendition.

Id be pretty underwhelmed if id won tickets to that and that was the setlist.
Surely he cannot continue to play the same Oasis songs like this when Liam is planning on mixing things up.
Noel will always sell out wherever he tours because theres a huge casual fanbase for oasis and those sort of fans probably dont even realise that he is this lazy, but its going to get very boring for the more dedicated fans. Ive seen him 4 times now and i wouldnt think twice about seeing him when hes toured in the past but i probably would now because its a lot of money for essentially the same show.

Prediction on future posts here - Same-ish setlist. Nothing new. Nothing Rare. It's just warm up gig for U2. A bit comedy in between songs, possible dig at Liam. Oh and Gem is playing with him. Read again on 11th. Thread Done. Well I can admit to being 70% right at least! Surprised there was no Gem...Wait was there no Gem? WTSRTS iS a nice addition

I didn't go to his last show in Toronto at Echo Beach because I knew he would play the same exact set. And he was boring the last time I saw him at the Sony Centre. His bandmates must want to kill themselves playing the same shit every night.
No one will ever touch Pearl Jam in this area... They played 2 shows in Toronto once... I went to both and I shit u not they only played 3 songs the same from the night before.

Was just talking to a friend about it for being used for promotional purposes then he said maybe it could be part of a Chasing Yesterday Concert BluRay, we haven't gotten that yet. It could explain While The Song Remains The Same.
