Surprisingly good. Not really inventive or anything, but fairly solid and the kinda epic finale is great. Heavily Bowie influenced, like someone pointed out in the other thread.

I was curious when it appeared on NME's site this morning, because Harry has quite a good taste in music and it got compared to Bowie and something else...Queen? Don't know.
Anyway, I put it on and it sounded quite boring and more like a mix of Robbie Williams, Tom Odell and Leona Lewis or something than Bowie or Queen. Turned it off halfway through as it bored my tits off, so I missed "the epic finale". Will give it another chance. It wasn't bad, just a tad boring.

I put the song on so I could say it was shit cause I'm a cynic and everything but after listening, I thought it was a great tune! Then I saw he was on radio 1 being interviewed for the single release and I wanted to see what he had to say about the song but of course nick grimshaw doesn't want to talk about the music now does he!
WOAH, RITA ORA IN THE MALDIVES!!!!!
Seriously though, I am very interested to see where he goes with his new material, looks promising. Cant be worse than that zaynes stuff can it now?

I didn't know who this Harry Styles was. I'm not lying, seriously. Is he someone from One Direction?
Give me my gorgeous Ed Harcourt anyday.

It's alright I guess, but remove one letter and you get a better song.

Better than what I'd expect from an ex-One Direction member, but doesn't really do anything for me taken on its own merits.
It just seems like an attempt at differentiating himself as much as possible from the other members to maximise selling power, rather than the deep and personal musical statement that it appears they're trying to market it to be.

It's decent to be fair. Surprised with the production. Obviously influenced by good classic rock from the 70s. I get a solo John Lennon vibe going on. Specter style strings and a bit of Rocket Man in there too. The song itself is good, yet nothing mind blowing. At least in this baron desert of a musical landscape we find ourselves in.

It's alright for someone from 1D, not something that I would listen more then once.

I just gave this another chance and this is pretty much how I think about it. It's not bad and I wouldn't turn the radio off if it came on though. Can also see the Bowie influence. It's a bit too long too.
