So many great track threes to choose from!
After a bit of pondering (and excluding some tracks which were already nominated), here are my two nominations:
Teardrop - Massive Attack Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears

Is it me or no one has nominated Live Forever, at the moment ? i assume it's because everyone is collectively protecting 'little james' for track 5?

Concerning the poll closure, does it refer to Eastern Standard Time in the US (considering this is where the site is based?) or UK time? If it's UK then only over three hours til it closes.

can't wait to see the results for track 2. shit. didn't see that one coming at all. a major upset in my opinion (regardless of who the band is). not even close to being one of their strongest songs. and i was planning on nominating 'nowhere man' for track 4. oh well, the people have spoken! on to track 3.

just had a thought: if this poll was like the u.s. election, even though 'eleanor rigby' won the popular vote, 'paranoid android' would still be declared the winner

I'm actually very surprised - I knew Paranoid Android was in with a chance, but I thought it was between that and Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor (when I fucked the original poll up by not including This Is Music, it was a clear tie between Radiohead & Arctic Monkeys).
Of the top three, I'd have preferred Paranoid Android. I'm kind of glad it wasn't Arctic Monkeys as I think that particular tune is vastly overrated - but Eleanor Rigby, despite it not flowing that well from I Wanna Be Adored, is one of my favourite Beatles tunes so personally I'm okay with it.
On to round three - I'm still waiting for that real attention grabber though, and I think this round will provide it.

No. Clearly that's not how the game works. People aren't voting for their favourite song from a band they're just voting from the options above. How many people are going to tactically not vote and wait for a different song by the band? Very few.

Eleanor Rigby? You kidding me? It's an amazing song no doubt, but wouldn't you rather have had I Am the Walrus or Hey Jude?
Anyway, with this knowledge in mind, I think we need a catchy pop song to lighten things up! Or at least pick up the pace! Eleanor Rigby after I Wanna Be Adored? Geez! What a one-two punch of very dark, haunting songs! Either that, or maybe this is meant to be a dark album. Here are my nominations:
Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus Oasis - Live Forever
I have a feeling that this round is gonna be BRUTAL because there are so many great track threes. May the best song win!

AGREED. the nominating process isn't even close to being finished yet and i already have my eye on about eight tracks from those nominated thus far. round 3 is going to be a good one!

What I think that does mean is that it will throw an unexpected closer - personally, I wasn't thinking anything other than A Day In The Life would get the final track, now I don't have a clue. It keeps things interesting to be fair.

Hopefully they do, I've been nominating tracks that I think will follow the previous songs well (more or less). IMO the sequence of I Wanna Be Adored-Eleanor Ribgy is one that could drag quite a bit if the pattern of subdued songs continues. I mean, just compare this with what songs follow them on their respective albums! She Bangs the Drums does a great job of lightening the mood after Adored, and I'm Only Sleeping is a fun tune about as far removed from the neglect and death of the elderly as you can get.

Yeah, since we've got two tracks now, it would be cool if people try to think of a song that would follow Eleanor Rigby well.
